The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Mid-Level Software Application Developer to join the Maintenance Engineering Technical Data Information Technology (IT) team in Seal Beach, CA.
This team partners internally with Boeing Commercial Aviation Services - Customer Support Engineering and enables the creation and delivery of technical manuals and related content for airlines. This position will seek to modernize the authoring and publishing capabilities of maintenance engineering function.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Designs, develops code, conducts preliminary tests, deploys, documents, maintains and improves architecture, algorithms, interfaces for software applications based on using current and emerging technologies
  • Integrates software components into a fully functional software solution
  • Implements contemporary software practices, methodologies, processes, architectural approaches to develop and deploy solutions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • 3+ years of experience with various IT technologies (e.g. Cloud Computing, Network Architectures, Software Development, Operating Systems, Databases, Financial Applications) and related processes, controls, risks
  • 3+ years of experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
  • 3+ years of experience working with SAFe or Agile methodologies
  • 1+ years of experience working in a cross functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • 5+ years of experience design concepts and techniques
  • 5+ years of experience with frameworks and practices utilized by self-organizing and cross functional teams
  • 5+ years of experience with collecting, organizing, synthesizing, and analyzing data; summarizing findings; developing conclusions and recommending from appropriate data sources
  • 5+ years of experience with utilizing cloud computing where a combination of clouds is used

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $115,600 - $156,400
