Job Description

Nvelup Consulting is seeking a Microsoft Power BI Developer to join our team. As a Power BI Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data visualizations and reports using Microsoft Power BI to enable data-driven decision making for our clients. You will work closely with our clients and internal teams to understand their data requirements, develop data models, create compelling visualizations, and deliver meaningful insights.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with business users and stakeholders to gather and analyze data requirements to design and develop Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Develop data models and implement data integration, transformation, and visualization using Power BI desktop and Power BI service.
  • Design and create visually appealing and interactive reports, dashboards, and visualizations that provide actionable insights to support business decision making.
  • Optimize performance of Power BI reports and dashboards to ensure fast and efficient data retrieval and visualization.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and opportunities for improvement, and present findings to clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, data scientists, and business analysts, to ensure data accuracy and integrity in Power BI solutions.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to clients and internal teams for Power BI-related issues, including data connectivity, security, and performance.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest Power BI features, updates, and industry best practices to provide cutting-edge solutions to clients.
  • Participate in Power BI training and knowledge-sharing sessions with team members to enhance overall team capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Analytics, or related field.
  • Strong experience in designing, developing, and implementing Microsoft Power BI reports and dashboards.
  • Proficient in data visualization best practices, data modeling, and data integration using Power BI desktop and Power BI service.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and data querying techniques to retrieve, analyze, and transform data from multiple sources.
  • Experience with data visualization and reporting concepts, such as data storytelling, data visualization principles, and interactive dashboards.
  • Knowledge of data warehouse concepts, ETL processes, and data integration tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients and internal teams.
  • Microsoft Power BI certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate or Microsoft Certified: Power BI Desktop, are a plus.
