Location: Remote - US

The Role

As the MFP Manager, you will lead Merchandise Financial Planners to define and drive multi-season Merchandise Financial Plans for the North America marketplace. You’ll set long-range financial plans based on consumer demand and brand strategies, reconcile assortment plans with merchandise financial plans, and align to consumer architecture. Your top-down financial targets will inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts, and end-to-end inventory forecasts, including liquidation plans across channels. You’ll collaborate with Merch Planning and Sales Planning to reconcile forecasts and communicate results and impacts with cross-functional and leadership teams.

Your Impact

  • Define and lead multi-season Merchandise Financial Plans for the NA marketplace
  • Adjust and align Merchandise Financial Plans to consumer architecture based on targets and actuals
  • Set and perform pre-season top-down financial business targets for class/category, gender, and channel to inform franchise/style plans, financial forecasts, and end-to-end inventory forecasts
  • Establish and execute inventory liquidation plans within and across channels
  • Reconcile top-down and bottom-up forecasts through a middle-out process
  • Determine cross-channel trade-off actions to drive consumer demand, optimize margin, and maintain marketplace inventory health
  • Incorporate financial reporting and budget requirements into merchandise plans and recommendations
  • Establish systematic methods and tools to monitor stock-to-sale ratios and sales trend data

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 8 years of experience in retail, planning, and/or product management
  • Strong ability to influence and work constructively with others by communicating effectively
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, analytical capabilities, and attention to detail
  • Ability to collate and understand relevant market data to inform the Merchandise Financial Plan, assess risk, and solve problems
  • Strong command of retail metrics including retail sales, ST%, WOS, inventories, revenue, and margin, with the ability to manipulate data for efficient outcomes
  • Commercial and entrepreneurial approach

$120,000 - $130,000

The salary range posted reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this role in Goleta, CA. Individual pay will be determined by location and additional factors, including job related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary for your preferred location during the hiring process.
