What you'll do; (it may vary based on the project)
As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at GE Vernova, you will:
- Apply EHS training to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Gain insights into gas turbine systems, configurations, and power plant operations.
- Work on turbine tooling systems on inventory management and consumables.
- Develop a database for current tooling inventory and support physical inventory control.
- Assist with the BOM (Bill of Material) serialization for toolkits, reviewing components and pricing.
- Learn and apply mechanical engineering fundamentals in real-world contexts such as materials handling and project management.
- Engage in a short project focused on tooling, mechanical systems, or data analysis.
- Present your findings and recommendations in a final internship evaluation along with an internal report.
What you'll bring;
- Fresh graduate from Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Mechanical Engineering.
- Strong interest in power systems and gas turbine technologies.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for data handling.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and apply Lean and EHS principles.
- Fluency in English & Arabic.
