Job Summary
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Intern located in our Buffalo Grove, IL site.
Reporting to the Site Project Engineering manager, the Intern will assist with daily engineering tasks related with this project while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and cross-functional teams.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assist Engineering Team with time studies, reviewing documentation, drawings and CAD
- Assist in writing working instructions, check list and other documents related to Columbus manufacturing equipment
- Help research and recommend support equipment required for continuous production
- Help design and monitor Engineering DOE (Design Of Experiment) projects
- Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:
- Junior/Senior undergrad student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major
- 2D and 3D CAD tools (AutoCAD, Inventor or Solidworks) experience
- Lean/Six Sigma helpful
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Internship Program Requirements:
- Ability to start on June 2nd and work 10-12 week Summer assignment (in-person); 40 hours/week
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
Pay Range (Applicable to Illinois)$15.93 USD - $21.90 USD Hourly
