Fluxergy is a rapidly growing in vitro diagnostics company innovating on the cutting-edge of laboratory testing. We’re developing the first and only multi-modal point-of-care platform that enables molecular, clinical chemistry, immunoassay, and hematology testing on the same system.

About the Role

We are looking for an ambitious and hard-working Mechanical Engineer to join our team! What You Will Do

  • Support in-process quality control (IPQC) testing to ensure products meet required standards.
  • Conduct mechanical design work for both research and development (R&D) and production to improve product performance and manufacturability.
  • Manage design changes by defining and updating product specifications to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in production assembly to enhance workflow and product quality.
  • Serve as a liaison between R&D and production teams to identify and address potential gaps in processes.
  • Perform risk analysis for both R&D and production to mitigate potential design and manufacturing issues.
  • Contribute to mechanical design of new products and changing to existing products.
  • Verify technical drawings to ensure accuracy and compliance with design requirements.
  • Conduct mechanical reviews to assess designs and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with Electrical and Firmware teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical components.
  • Develop and enhance best practice standards to improve efficiency and consistency in engineering processes.
  • Assist with additional projects as needed to support company objectives.

What You'll Need to Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
  • At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry (FDA experience preferred).
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing and verifying mechanical components.
  • Experience creating and reviewing technical drawings for production.
  • Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
  • Experience designing integrated test fixtures for product validation and manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and automation and data analysis using tools such as Python.
  • Ability to write detailed specifications and test plans for subsystems.
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production assembly issues.
  • Experience in risk analysis for R&D and production environments.
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience with electrical and firmware teams.
  • Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities.

Salary Range:
$90,000 - $100,000 USD
