We are seeking an energetic Mechanical Engineer to join our Frame and Cab Chassis team. In this role, you will be responsible for the design and release of secondary structures, brackets, and sub-assemblies. This is a "hands-on" CAD role where you will learn to navigate the complexities of EV packaging while ensuring every part meets our weight and cost targets.
Key Responsibilities- Develop 3D models and 2D drawings for chassis components (frame attachments, battery mounting brackets, cab interfaces) using CATIA V5/V6.
- Manage the Release to Manufacturing process, including BOM (Bill of Materials) management and ECO (Engineering Change Order) documentation.
- Perform basic structural analysis and clearance checks to ensure no interference with high-voltage cabling or powertrain components.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure parts are designed for high-yield manufacturing (stamping, casting, or weldments).
- B.S. in Mechanical Engineering.
- 2+ years of experience in automotive or heavy equipment design.
- Proficiency in CATIA V5 or 3DEXPERIENCE (V6) is a must.
- Strong understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) and ASME Y14.5 standards.
