Job Description

We are seeking an Mechanical Engineer to join our Equipment Consulting team.  This is a unique opportunity for an entrepreneurial, highly driven person with a well-rounded skill set to join the Equipment team, whose responsibilities extend beyond those of traditional Engineers. The ideal person for this role will need to not only have a strong grasp of Mechanical Engineering, but also be flexible and a strategic thinker able to take on a variety of tasks.

Please note: This position is located in Anaheim, CA, and applicants must be willing to work from this location.

Job Responsibilities

  • Assess damage to a variety of mechanical, industrial, and specialty systems to determine the scope of damage and applicable corrective action.
  • Assist in the economic study of repair versus replacement of the equipment
  • Conduct equipment configuration audits.
  • Analyze technical specifications to determine comparable equipment replacement.
  • Provide research for determining costs associated with equipment replacement.
  • Assist with developing production recovery solutions and plans.
  • Compose technical reports detailing findings and recommendations
  • Travel to site locations to conduct inspections/assessments and participate in meetings. Depending on workload travel may be 2-3 days per week and sometimes out of state. Larger projects could increase travel duration.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science, Mechanical Engineering with over 5 years of experience in engineering design, analysis, or applications
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills (including Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • A desire to learn, excel and grow with us and within the profession.
  • Adaptable to change and self-motivated. 

Physical and Mental Job Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.   
  • Must be able to travel to various project sites. 
  • Prolonged periods of standing, bending, kneeling, and lifting.
  • Some industrial sites require walking long distances.
  • Must pass a “Fit Test” for respiratory protection.

A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $120k - $140k. Any offered salary range is based on a wide array of factors including but not limited to skillset, experience, training, location, scope of role, management responsibility, etc.
