Ultragenyx is preparing for the potential commercialization of a rare disease Antisense oligonucleotide therapy for the treatment of Angelman Syndrome. We are seeking a highly analytical, collaborative MBA Intern to support global launch readiness with a specific focus on Phase 3 (Ph3) data–driven scenario planning. This role will help design and execute workstreams and trigger-based plans that activate when Ph3 data become available. For example, the intern may lead pressure-testing a comprehensive plan to update the forecast, value proposition, Target Product Profile (TPP), positioning, and developing and testing core messages under different data readout scenarios (e.g., positive primary endpoint, mixed/secondary strength, subgroup effects).
Work Model:Remote: Officially documented as working full-time from home, with travel to Ultragenyx's offices or other locations on occasion as needed.
Responsibilities:- Build a scenario framework for anticipated Ph3 readouts (primary/secondary endpoint outcomes, safety profile ranges, subpopulation signals, sensitivity analyses).
- Work with the cross-functional team to design decision trees and activation triggers linked to each scenario, mapping implications for updating all global materials.
- Define insight needs (ad boards, message testing, ATUs, discrete choice/TPP trade-offs, analog analysis) triggered by each scenario.
- Recommend governance cadence (war room / stand-ups, escalation paths, decision logs) for the 0–90 days post-readout window.
- Current MBA student (rising 2nd year or equivalent) with a focus in Marketing, Strategy, Healthcare Management, or Finance.
- 2–3+ years pre-MBA experience in biopharma, life sciences consulting, healthcare investing/analytics, or related.
- Strong strategic thinking and structured problem solving; comfort with ambiguity and scenario-based planning.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Optional Experience in neurology, CNS, or rare/orphan diseases, or early/first launch environments.
U.S. Hourly Wage Range:
- $35.00-$45.00 per hour. The estimated hourly range reflects an anticipated range for this position. The actual hourly wage offered will depend on the candidate’s prior experience level.
