The Maximo Developer maintains, enhances, and supports Maximo 7.6.1, develops workflows and reports, and assists with user training and system integrations.
Amentum is seeking a Remote Maximo Developer to support the day-to-day operations, maintenance, and enhancement of Maximo 7.6.1 (and future upgrades) across multiple instances. Working under the guidance of a Lead Developer, you will bridge the gap between business requirements and technical execution, handling everything from complex SQL data requests and BIRT reporting to workflow automation and system integrations.
Essential Responsibilities
- System Maintenance & Administration: Manage user accounts, security groups, and license compliance. Perform administrative updates using Application Designer, Escalations, Cron Tasks, and Communication Templates.
- Development & Enhancement: Design, code, and document system modifications. Create and update complex Workflows, Action Groups, and Roles to align with changing business processes.
- Reporting & Data Analytics: Develop and maintain BIRT reports and Maximo Ad Hoc reports. Act as a technical liaison for Power BI dashboards and write moderately complex SQL queries to satisfy internal and external data calls.
- Integration & Interface Support: Monitor and troubleshoot existing system interfaces. Assist in the design and implementation of new interfaces to ensure seamless data flow between Maximo and third-party systems.
- User Support & Training: Monitor and resolve JIRA helpdesk tickets. Provide specialized training for Maximo Mobile (Informer) and support users through User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for all new releases.
- Implementation: Support data migration and import efforts. Assist in software upgrades and patching, ensuring all documentation and technical proposals are accurate and reflect the level of effort required.
Minimum Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5–7 years of technical experience with IBM Maximo (specifically version 7.6.x).
- Technical Proficiency:
- 3+ years of experience with SQL and database manipulation.
- 3+ years of experience creating and managing BIRT reports.
- Demonstrated experience with Maximo Integration Framework and Workflow Designer.
- Security Clearance: Ability to pass and maintain at a minimum an active Secret Clearance. (US Citizenship required).
- Licensing: Must have a valid Driver’s License and US Passport; ability to travel for project implementations and workforce training.
- Travel time - 20 percent.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Maximo Mobile Informer implementation and troubleshooting.
- Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification.
