Job Responsibilities:
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:• Must possess human relations skills and maturity of judgement.• Able to maintain confidentiality and use discretion and tact.• Must possess time management, leadership, communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Some of the physical demands of this position include sitting for prolonged periods of time, walking up and down staircases, occasional lifting, and occasional stooping and bending.
EQUIPMENT / TOOLS USED:
Some of the equipment and tools used are a computer, telephone, fax machine, copier/printer, and a projector.
KNOWLEDGE:• Knowledge of production scheduling.• Knowledge of MRP and Operations/Inventory Management practices• Must possess knowledge and proven skills in one of the following: Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Kaizen; Project management and prioritizing.• Must have a thorough knowledge of general office procedures including PC and LAN computer use. Must be proficient in relevant computer software and program use
EDUCATION: • Completion of post-secondary education in a related field e.g., Materials and/or Logistics Management and/or equivalent work-related experience
WORK EXPERIENCE:• Skill gained by experience: minimum 5 years material control/logistics experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.• Minimum 10 years in a leadership role.
