Job Summary: This is an exciting role in an innovative, high-growth defense technology company. As a Material Program Manager at Epirus, you will play a crucial role in supporting the production flow and key developmental goals of our innovative HPM systems. Working closely with the Procurement, Engineering, and Manufacturing departments, you will help execute effective, creative, and smart supply chain strategies to achieve our ambitious production goals.
Responsibilities:• Develop and execute material program strategies and plans, aligning demand, supply, and inventory targets to meet program needs.
• Lead supply chain proposal activities, negotiations, and procurement execution to ensure cost, schedule, and performance objectives are met.
• Manage material requirements planning (MRP), ERP outputs, and purchase order data to mitigate shortages, maintain master data accuracy, and support production readiness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, manufacturing, procurement, finance, and program teams to resolve material issues and ensure on-time delivery.
• Monitor, analyze, and report supply chain metrics; recommend safety stock strategies and risk mitigation plans to reduce supply disruption.
• Provide proactive status updates to management and program teams, driving accountability and completion of material-related actions across the organization.
• Execute purchase orders to support COTS and harnessing for production. Negotiate prices, execute PO's and track items through delivery.
• Lead efforts for DD1149 and DD250 ensuring efforts are driven to completion on all supporting teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain Management, or related field and 5 years of experience in production or materials planning OR 3 years and a Master’s degree.
• Experience in material or production planning, purchasing, contract negotiation, or related areas.
• Aerospace, Defense, Automotive or Consumer Electronics industry experience
• Familiarity with ERP and MRP systems.
• Proficiency in SQL, PowerBI, MS Excel, and Project.
• Experience navigating multitier Bill of Materials and work orders
• APICS certification and Lean Six Sigma certification are advantageous.
• Technical knowledge in a commodity – for example, cables and harnessing, electronic parts, machining, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending and assembly, weldment assembly, soft goods etc.
• Flexible availability to support a split shift (e.g., 10 AM – 7 PM, 12 PM – 9 PM, etc.)
• Ability to travel up to 10%, including potential international travel.
• Flexibility to adapt to a fast-moving and ever-changing environment.
