General Description:
We are seeking a motivated and organized individual to support our business materials and inventory needs. This individual will track the purchasing process from getting quotes from vendors, to submitting the required paperwork and approvals needed to order the material, and then giving regular status updates to program management. This position requires attention to detail and willingness to be proactive in planning and ordering materials. General activities include: ordering parts and supplies, tracking purchase orders, data entry of tracking parts in a database, generating reports for program management, and delivery of parts to laboratories across campus.
Essential Duties:
Support generating additional quotes and supporting documentation needed for purchase orders
Track status of purchase orders
Maintain and order inventory supplies
Support program planning of materials and components
Database entry for inventory tracking
Follow detailed Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
Required Skills:
1-3 years of experience working in a Finance, Procurement or related field.
Experience with purchasing, inventory, and parts tracking.
Possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to understand and comprehend engineering documentation including drawings, bills of materials, specifications, requirements, and process instructions.
Use of Microsoft Office tools (Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio), database entry and correction.
Required Education:
High School Diploma required. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field preferred.
Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance
Compensation:
The range for this full-time position is $31.54 - $38.48 per hour + bonus + benefits.
