The Opportunity:

 

The Web Designer focuses on a variety of graphic design tasks ranging from designing websites, landing pages, emails, and mobile experiences in support of our communication and marketing efforts. They are passionate about designing emails that delight users, and they ensure that all of our digital experiences are easy to use and intuitive. The Web Designer also supports the Marketing team in other areas such as logo/identity development, and general graphic design. The ideal candidate is a designer, not a developer, with a strong portfolio of digital creative work (websites, landing pages, email, social) and also has excellent taste in layout, color and typography.

 

The Accountabilities:

 

  • Design eye-catching digital assets (including emails, display ads, mobile, social media graphics) leveraging a strong foundation in design principles and typography
  • Develop intuitive user interfaces for websites, landing pages, and mobile devices, meeting latest accessibility/usability/UX guidelines
  • Collaborate with copywriters and marketers to create highly engaging, responsive email and display marketing campaigns
  • Collaborate with developers and IT teams to ensure design concepts are fully realized
  • Develop mockups, use cases, user flows, and wireframes to reach most effective design solution
  • Design logos, identity, icons, illustrations, charts, posters, infographics, and other artwork as needed
  • Set production schedules for design projects; manage quality control by proofing artwork before submission for accuracy, design, color, format, alignment and legibility

 

 

The Qualifiers:

 

Minimum Education:

 

Bachelor's degree Minimum Experience: 2 years

 

Minimum Field of Expertise:

 

  • Understanding of digital design issues, including email rendering on mobile/desktop devices, page speed optimization, and cross-platform compatibility
  • Solid foundation in design, typography, color theory and layout
  • Work experience as a digital/web designer covering all aspects of email/website creation
  • Experience in video production a plus

 

Preferred Field of Expertise:

 

  • Understanding of design fundamentals and working knowledge of digital marketing strategy
  • Ecommerce website design experience
  • Direct response email experience
