Our mission at DISQO is to engage people to share their opinions and behaviors openly to help our customers make the right decisions. With over one million active members sharing their attitudes and behaviors, DISQO is looking to expand, improve and create world-class applications for people to openly share their data for research.
Who We’re Looking For:
DISQO seeks a VP, Growth and User Acquisition to help us attract and deepen engagement with consumer audiences for our panel. Reporting to the Co-founder/CMO, the ideal candidate is an inventive and strategic leader and team builder with deep user acquisition and performance marketing experience. You will expand and optimize our acquisition channels, consistently improve KPIs, and relentlessly research and develop creative techniques based on platform innovation and business needs.
This role will work collaboratively with leaders from Marketing, Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to develop an integrated consumer Growth Model. You will help shape DISQO’s future by developing, executing, and refining cutting-edge consumer acquisition and engagement strategies that drive long-term profitable growth. You should have an entrepreneurial mindset, with the proven ability to motivate, nurture, and scale a highly talented Growth Marketing team that is passionate about understanding and delighting our panel with great marketing experiences.
You have an analytical, data-driven mindset and thrive in a high-velocity, test-&-learn, environment. Inspired by challenges and always seeking ways to up-level our growth, you will be responsible for developing a deep understanding of our products and target audiences, then utilizing that knowledge to drive optimal performance in both a hands-on and higher-level capacity. You are a master of traditional user acquisition and retention marketing, such as social and lead generation, but go beyond these approaches. You have the ability to forge brand new channels through partnerships and creative executions beyond advertising optimizations. You are agile and iterative in your approach, and aggressive in your search for the next unexploited growth opportunity. You will be a champion of this thinking across the marketing and broader organization!
What you get to do:
- Lead, mentor, and scale a world-class Growth Marketing team, including establishing quotas and managing pipelines.
- Work in collaboration with individual team members to identify and establish quotas, goals, KPI’s and pipeline management.
- Develop a strategic consumer Growth Roadmap that scales user acquisition and lifecycle marketing through a multi-channel strategy of paid media, SEM, DSPs, social paid/earned, community/influencer development, email marketing, CRM, mobile, native etc.
- Close collaboration, partnership and alignment with our Product Management - Consumer team.
- Plan budgets that support the Growth Roadmap and balance growth priorities with efficiency and smart risk-taking.
- Closely collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams across DISQO to develop new growth opportunities with identified consumer audiences and personas -- from ideation of compelling value propositions to execution, including turning insights into action for the entire consumer lifecycle.
- Identify opportunities for product optimization in the consumer journey and partner with product leadership to facilitate growth channels.
- Drive the team to define, execute, analyze, and optimize A/B and multivariate tests. Set the standard for fast A/B testing, experimentation, and iteration to continuously improve campaign performance.
- Refine, validate, and standardize core KPIs and operating metrics such as cost per metrics, retention, ROI and LTV. Monitor all metrics and focus on scaling channels and optimizing for lifetime value.
- Identify and sponsor new marketing technologies and vendors that will elevate our reach, agility, and operational efficiency.
- Foster an exciting, collaborative growth culture and get hands-on when needed to help our team build capabilities -- you have a vision, and you know what it takes operationally, day-in and day-out, to bring it to life.
What you bring to the role:
- 10+ years in a leadership role within marketing and proven experience driving the growth of large-scale consumer facing products. Demonstrated passion for driving consumer adoption, engagement, and retention of products/services through breakthrough marketing strategies and campaigns. We are looking for individuals with demonstrated repeat business growth or exit successes in high profile startups.
- Experience building and leading a B2C growth/marketing team. You love building high-performing technically savvy marketing teams and will do whatever it takes to make yours successful while also keeping the enterprise’s holistic success your topmost priority. You love empowering and supporting your team in solving complex problems.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a proven track record of personal success and ambitious undertakings.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with an ability to map innovative and clear solutions to complex problems while managing multiple projects.
- Team-oriented disposition with the ability to facilitate and own cross-functional collaboration -- gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and applying a wide range of data inputs from a variety of audiences. You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
- You thrive in challenging environments where priorities shift frequently.
- Ability to operate effectively in both tactical and strategic capacities -- you can comfortably adjust your altitude and roll-up your sleeves as needed.
- You have outstanding organizational and project management abilities with strong attention to detail, including experience developing implementation roadmaps and processes within a matrixed organization.
- Strong understanding of marketing technologies, process, and best practices.
- Understanding of user interfaces and the onboarding journey and how to deliver exceptional consumer experiences which you can clearly communicate to product development teams to execute. Familiarity with product led growth is beneficial.
- Follows a metrics driven, analytical approach with prior Marketing dashboard creation experience.
- Able to work independently, managing priorities, and maintain communication with stakeholders.
