MeUndies is a Los Angeles, CA-based underwear and loungewear company best known for its softer than soft basics. Founded in 2011, MeUndies disrupted the $110B underwear industry when it launched the first online underwear subscription. Through the years the brand has inspired a passionate community of undie-obsessed individuals with its bold, comfortable products.

Today MeUndies has sold more than twenty million pairs of underwear and is profitable with double-digit YoY growth. It continues to redefine the subscription market by evolving the transactional subscription to a membership centered on community and its relationship with the brand.

The innovative direct-to-consumer brand offers multiple purchasing options including singles, packs, matching pairs and its monthly membership. It opened its first flagship store in Los Angeles in 2018.

As a fast growing brand, MeUndies is looking for a VP of Growth & Retention Marketing to own and carry out all growth marketing including customer acquisition and retention. You must be an experienced, data-driven and strategic marketing leader to own the growth marketing function. The VP of Growth & Retention Marketing will oversee the growth marketing team across paid acquisition, SEO, lifecycle marketing/retention, membership and media buying. You will spearhead growth at MeUndies in both a hands-on and higher-level strategy capacity, an analytical mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the VP Growth & Retention Marketing will work closely with colleagues in brand marketing, creative, product, engineering, finance and consumer insights, so cross-functional collaboration is critical to success in this role.

You will be an experienced thought leader and true people manager, identifying as analytical, self-starting, flexible, organized, and reliable, with the ability to both see the big picture and be able/willing to execute MeUndies’ objectives. As the VP of Growth & Retention Marketing you will play an integral role in shaping the future of the brand by developing, executing and refining strategies that drive ecosystem health and long-term profitable growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Drive vision and integrated strategy for growth marketing (new customer acquisition and retention) efforts across all touchpoints, including paid media (social, search, shopping, audio, OOH, affiliate, etc.), SEO, retargeting, and lifecycle/retention marketing including membership
  • Accountable and responsible for managing KPIs including but not limited to: 
    • Growth: New Customers, CPA, Spend, Sessions, CPS, CPM, ROAS
    • Retention: Repeat Purchase Rate, Customer Lifetime Value, Email Capture, Email Performance
  • Attract, develop and retain a talented team that leads the industry in innovation and best practices
  • Define and drive from an integrated growth model that acts as the backbone of our strategic approach to sustainable growth including accelerated new customer and member acquisition and conversion
  • Implement best practices for testing framework, analysis, and reporting methodology
  • Establish financial spend and forecast models that enable optimal allocation for ecommerce ecosystem health and ROI positive management of media spend
  • Manage and grow vendor relationships and develop integrated solutions across all performance marketing channels search, social, Google, audio, OOH, affiliate, TV/OTT, third-party networks, and programmatic
  • Drive lifecycle/retention marketing efforts across e-mail and other retention tools (i.e. SMS, direct mail, etc.) to retain and re-engage customers ultimately driving growth of membership program
  • Drive personalization efforts of lifecycle/retention communications in partnership with brand marketing, engineering and consumer insights teams
  • Lead cross functional projects to create and implement new experiences that meaningfully drive growth and membership

What You Have

  • Demonstrated experience of 12+ years in growth marketing role at DTC consumer brand or performance marketing agency
  • Built and executed with full ownership multimillion dollar budgets and developed models and approaches for investment and measurement
  • Proven ability to drive both top and bottom line results
  • Experience in holistic growth planning - research, forecasting, planning, execution and performance analysis
  • Developed company's core paid channels, as well as all processes, policies and procedures
  • Demonstrated proficiency with multiple channels of paid marketing - SEM, SEO, social, mobile, display, affiliate
  • Advanced knowledge of marketing automation across acquisition and retention
  • Deep understanding of attribution with the ability to help lead multi-touch attribution modeling
  • Strong analytics capabilities and a deep understanding of data analysis
  • Proven ability to coach and grow talent and organizational capabilities
