About the Role and Your Impact

As Vice President of Marketing you will join Community as the leader of our Marketing team, reporting to our CRO. You are a seasoned full-stack marketer who brings expertise in demand generation, product marketing, marketing communications, brand management, sales marketing, and more. You have experience in B2B environments, taking products that have found early traction and scaling them into household names.

You will partner closely with our Executive Leadership Team to lead go-to-market strategies as we take on new verticals and customer segments. You have a passion for understanding the end-to-end customer journey, defining goals at each stage, and know how to effectively pull levers across multiple channels to achieve desired results. You are comfortable unifying systems, inspiring teams, balancing budget, and creating plans. You will coach and mentor a team of marketers, and together your team will play an integral role in the long-term success and sustainability of Community.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of marketers. Identify additional hiring needs and support recruiting efforts for your team.
  • Partner with the Executive Leadership Team to define the marketing strategy, roadmap, and budget.
  • Work closely with the CRO to manage and optimize the performance marketing function to ensure a consistent and efficient lead pipeline.
  • Design and implement testing processes to optimize marketing campaigns and monitor performance. Run a data-driven team and partner with Finance to create frameworks that result in maximum ROI on all marketing initiatives.
  • Work cross functionally with all Growth teams (enterprise, mid-market, inside sales, partnerships). Directly responsible for content and strategies in support of various sales initiatives and help to identify new opportunities to drive revenue.
  • Partner closely with the Product team to best position new features and offerings.
  • Support our brand vision and ensure cohesion across all channels and throughout the org. Design marketing materials and messaging that is inclusive of all audiences.
  • Balance against the budget; implement initiatives to lower spend when possible and work to reduce CAC.
  • Create with our internal Creative Studio. Retain and manage outside firms and agencies as needed.

What You’ll Bring

  • 15+ years experience; 8+ years of team management.
  • Experience leading the marketing function at a technology company previously; SaaS a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of success in the scaling up stage of high-growth, lean environments.
  • High EQ and excellent leadership skills; desire to foster an inclusive environment both externally for our customers, as well as internally for your team.
  • Experience marketing to a diverse set of audiences and stakeholders; B2B marketing experience a must.
  • Data-driven approach; ability to create and execute upon testing strategies, e.g. funnel analysis, A/B testing, conversion tracking optimization techniques, etc.
  • Familiarity with a variety of MarTech and CRM tools and other relevant systems such as Looker, Salesforce, etc.
  • Solid knowledge of SEO, web analytics, Google Adwords, and other performance marketing platforms.
