THE PURPOSE:

Slickdeals is the largest deal-sharing community on the internet. And we are set for a year of record growth. If you are an inspiring manager who has experience optimizing social channels with a strong focus on YouTube, loves to dig into data and lead a team to success - this is the job for you. You will own social growth and your own paid budget, working closely with Content and the SEM teams to reach new audiences and hit revenue goals.

THE ROLE:

Strategy

• Set the vision for all social media platforms using content from key verticals to increase new followers and expand the overall social audience
• Create channel-specific optimization plans (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube) based on audience growth KPIs
• Create and execute all key social media messaging and engagement on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, & YouTube - with a focus on YouTube growth
• Establish clear social media goals that map back to company-wide revenue goals across all platforms and consistently analyze and track against KPIs and benchmarks
• Optimize and develop new strategies for online marketing and advertising including Google AdWords and Facebook ads

Production

• Create and manage social content calendar and determine the placement and cadence of content, provide content optimization recommendations to the Content team based on performance
• Respond to breaking news in a timely manner with strategic messaging that increases engagement with our content and makes sense for the Slickdeals audience
• Work closely with Content editors and video team to ensure everything they create can be distributed over social and supports social KPIs
• Ensure brand voice stay consistent across all social channels Operations
• Manage Creative Manager and Social Media Coordinator
• Forge and maintain Influencer relationships with KPIs in mind
• Work across departments to acquire social assets

Reporting and Analytics

• Create and manage analytics, reporting and dashboards to gain insight and identify opportunities for Report findings weekly to your team and also Content and SEM teams
• Keep pace with social media, internet marketing industry trends and developments and stay current with what’s trending online and what people are talking about - own communicating updates and trends back to the social and content team
• Performs other duties as assigned

THE CANDIDATE:

• Will be interested in the deals community
• Will be detail-oriented and data-driven
• Will be a strong and motivational leader and an excellent collaborator and communicator Will have experience growing a YouTube channel
• Will be able to run, track and report on paid campaigns across all social channels

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of experience in digital or social media role
• Experience Google Analytics, social reporting platforms a must
• Expert in developing social strategies native to individual social channels (Twitter, Instagram, Snap, YouTube)
• Excellent project management skills
• MUST have a passion for digital, mobile, social & deal/on-line shopping culture!

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Slickdeals user
• Experience with Tableau
• Experience with influencer platforms such as Curalate or Tagger
• Highly preferred big brand and/or online retail site experience (i.e. Ebay/Amazon/Groupon/Target)
