Social Media Manager

About the Role
We’re looking for a passionate, creative content creator and curator to build out our social media strategy across multiple platforms. You’ll be working closely with the research team and marketing team to develop and test content covering a range of healthcare and personal finance topics. The right candidate will be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of the industry and brand, tap into the collective consciousness surrounding the U.S. healthcare system, and transform that into educational and compelling pieces of content. This role is based in Santa Monica or San Francisco and will report to the Community Editor on the research team.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor day-to-day messaging of multiple social media channels (for example, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Track performance and report regularly on social media campaigns, experiments, ads and overall strategy
- Work closely with research team to derive content from editorial and blog efforts to drive traffic and links to the website
- Communicate directly with our customers to produce high-quality user generated content for product, research and marketing projects
- Work cross-functionally to help develop a visual style guide and voice for our social media channels
- Guide creation of visual content such as infographics, social graphics, and short video clips
- Engage with our PR and marketing teams to ensure social media needs are met with the potential to pitch and partner on projects
- Refine and improve current social media processes
- Work with our Patient Advocacy team to source insights and content
- Evaluate the potential market of social media audience and execute on strategy to expand our follower groups
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of social media/community management
- Experience working with Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Pinterest, etc. and understanding their analytics/insights
- Passion for smart and engaging storytelling, social listening, and creating meaningful or empowering experiences for a diverse audience
- Highly organized, detail oriented and media-savvy
- Interest or passion for the healthcare and personal finance industry
- Not required but a plus: Experience in PR, marketing, or similar fields
