Senior Product Marketing Manager, AR Automation Solutions at BlackLine (Remote)
Job Summary
The Product Marketing Director for AR Automation leads the collaboration and execution across GTM teams to ensure BlackLine’s unique value for AR processes drives business success. This is an important leadership role for BlackLine’s AR Automation business in North America and other primary global markets, an area that is critical to BlackLine’s future growth and market expansion. This person is skilled at building relationships across an entire organization including with sales, marketing, product management, solutions management, implementations, customer success, and BlackLine’s executive management team. From managing influencing product roadmap and driving product launches, to defining differentiated value-based messaging and enabling sales, this is an exciting role for the right person: one who excels at creating strategy and executing on all its details.
Roles and Responsibility (list in order of importance)
Marketing Leadership & Execution
- Provide mission-critical positioning, messaging and storytelling information to improve the impact of campaigns – email, PPC, social, PR, etc. – to drive 20%+ growth in the AR business
- Arm/Equip Marketing programs team with key market, persona and segmentation data so they can deliver highly targeted campaigns that convert, and enabling their optimization of the marketing funnel to provide high quality leads
- Create content (case studies, brochures, fact sheets, white papers, presentations, website text etc.) to be used for a variety of audiences and target segments highlighting BlackLine strengths, features, and benefits
- Interview customers (and occasionally supply them) for case study development
- Provide customer-driven feedback on how marketing activity can be improved
- Lead analyst relations discussions on AR Automation solutions with Analyst Relations teams
Strategic Sales Guidance & Support
- Equip the Sales team with collateral (like battlecards, product sheets and sales scripts) for effective delivery of stronger pitches with shorter sales cycles
- Collaborate with GTM Readiness & Enablement team on delivering product training – Including the product’s specifications, positioning, pricing, benefits, etc.
- Provide key learnings and feedback Sales Leadership and Enablement teams to help make all sales reps top performers
- Help the sales team personalize pitches to various personas, segments and markets, so every sales conversation is relevant
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis and recommend positioning and programs to reach new customers
Core Expertise & Responsibilities
- Define and master product positioning & messaging for BlackLine’s AR Automation solutions including crafting the product’s story
- Author strategic messaging for sales, marketing, strategic alliances, value architecture, and business development.
- Manage product launches driving alignment across the organization for existing and new solutions
- Serve as lead product evangelist and public speaker and own content for live events globally for both internal and external activities
- Conduct customer and market research to guide creation and delivery of sales and marketing collateral
- Analyze and optimize campaigns and products to ensure continued success and growth
- Lead and create AR Automation content marketing initiatives such as white papers, ebooks, blog posts, landing pages, email copy, etc.
- Manage the web presence for AR Automation ensuring our message is clear and differentiated, and drives measurable web traffic/activity
- Influence the future of AR Automation solutions and helping guide product roadmap initiatives
Product/Solution Management Influence & Collaboration
- Guide the Product team with prospect and customer insights for inclusion into product roadmap and release schedule to drive customer utilization and satisfaction
- Fuel Product teams with prospect and customer insights so they know what customers do and don’t like, what there’s demand for, how users are using the product, and more
- Tie releases to organizational goals
- Refine existing products based on customer feedback to ensure ongoing usage and revenue
- Help to build out product roadmaps and bringing fresh ideas to the table
Customer Success Guidance & Support
- Provide in-depth data on things like a customer’s goals, pain-points, drivers, traitsetc, so they can provide tailored conversations
- Equip customer-facing employees with collateral and training to identify and facilitate cross-sell and up-sell opportunities
- Provide customer-driven feedback on processes improvement
Required Qualifications
Years of Experience in Related Field: 10+ years in accounts receivable, credit/collections management or a similar role in the F&A team; 7-10 years in a product marketing role
Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
Technical/Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of accounting and finance industry related to
- Order-to-Cash
- Accounts Receivable
- Credit Management
- Deductions and Disputes
- Payment Processing
- Familiarity with robust marketing tech stack including systems such as Wrike, Tableau, Sendoso, Outreach, Gaggle, Marketo, etc
- Strong systems savvy thinking

- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, tailoring communication to audience, in both written and verbal forms
