About the Role and Your Impact:

As a Senior Content Marketing Manager at Emotive, you’ll help define our voice and tone across the marketing funnel, develop new ways to evangelize SEO, and play a key role in developing us as leaders in the E-commerce space. You’ll learn the customer journey, their pain points, and their success criteria so you can create compelling content that builds trust and drives action. You’ll collaborate closely with product marketing, demand generation, and SEO teams to ensure our content strategy rolls up to overall marketing goals and supports cross-functional initiatives. Plus, you’ll work closely with technical subject matter experts from our Engineering and leadership teams. 

Reporting directly to the SVP of Marketing, this is an exciting opportunity to be Emotive’s first Content Marketing Manager. The ideal candidate is data-driven and has experience owning end-to-end content production in a fast-paced startup environment.  Above all else, you should be an incredible storyteller with a proven success record writing about technical products. Bonus points if you’ve worked within the SaaS, E-commerce, or MarTech fields.

 How You Will Contribute:

  • Own our content marketing strategy; building, executing, and optimizing it. You’ll create SEO-friendly content across many mediums - long form guides, blog posts, email copy, case studies, ad copy, video scripts, and more.
  • Maintain and manage content calendar with consistent and repeatable distribution strategies. Continually improve the content creation process. 
  • Test, report on and improve content’s impact at each stage of the funnel. Proactively identify gaps or missed opportunities and adjust strategy accordingly. 
  • Develop a deep understanding of Emotive’s market position and value. Be on the forefront of what's happening in the greater E-commerce ecosystem. 
  • Continually guide our brand voice and story to match the rapid innovation of our cutting-edge technology. You not only write and facilitate the creation of technically accurate and powerful pieces of content, you think about how it will help prospects or customers on their journey.

Skills You Will Bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in content marketing in a B2B SaaS environment
  • You have excellent communication skills. You’re able to effectively communicate strategies, measure and report on progress to peers and leaders alike to gain buy-in and foster a culture of content throughout the organization. 
  • You’re data and response-driven. You analyze the performance of past copy to improve future copy. You like to run experiments and test new ideas. You don’t determine what worked and what didn’t by instinct -- you have the metrics to prove it.
  • You’re a great storyteller. You understand that content should be purposeful and succinct, even when dealing with complex subjects. You write clearly and effectively and avoid fluff and jargon.
  • You’re flexible. You can shift your writing voice to resonate with different audiences. You’re not fixed to a particular tone or style. You’re able to seamlessly pivot between projects and priorities. 
  • You love to collaborate. You have experience working closely with cross-functional teams to develop new and innovative solutions. 
  • You balance quantity and quality. You can manage a large number of content priorities moving at once from individual team goals to external requests. You can ramp up our content volume all while making sure it’s always top-notch and valuable to customers.
  • You understand SEO. SEO is built into your strategic content initiatives, driving organic traffic and marketing results. You are comfortable collaborating with SEO team members to continuously measure performance, iterate and deliver results.
