This position will help spearhead new standards in the use of data and analytics to optimize multi-channel communications campaigns to better achieve desired outcomes.This role reports to the Business Unit (BU) Campaigns Manager and partners primarily with BU Campaign Planners. Working relationships across CMS, particularly with Campaigns and Planning teammates and CMS Operations, are essential. The primary responsibility of the Senior Campaign Performance Specialist is to provide the data, analysis and reporting necessary for BU Campaign Planners to continuously improve communications campaigns to better achieve campaign objectives. To do this, the Senior Campaign Performance Specialist recommends measurable goals tailored to the objectives of each BU communications campaign; identifies the right KPIs to assess a campaign's efficacy in meeting its goals; monitors and reports campaign performance against the KPIs; and offers data-based recommendations to continuously improve campaign outcomes. The Senior Campaign Performance Specialist also collaborates with CMS Operations and other Campaign Performance Specialists to identify, implement and leverage new tools and resources to improve CMS' performance management capability. Further, drawing on their many years of data-based performance management expertise, and their desire to share that expertise with others, the Senior Campaign Performance Specialist works with the Campaigns and Planning leadership team on initiatives to strengthen campaign performance management competency across the Campaigns & Planning team.Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Business Unit Campaign Planners on emerging communications campaign opportunities. Recommend measurable goals (performance targets) that align with campaign objectives; identify the right KPIs to measure performance against those goals; implement tracking and reporting tools; work with the Campaign Planner throughout the campaign to aid data-driven decisions to refine and optimize the campaign.
  • Collaborate with CMS Operations and other Campaign Performance Specialists to identify, assess, implement and leverage new tools, technology, resources and best practices to improve CMS' performance management capability.
  • Assess and recommend opportunities for external agencies and resources to enhance CMS performance management capabilities.
  • Partner with communications teammates inside and outside of CMS to develop standard campaign performance dashboards and reporting cycles.
  • Develop and lead periodic campaign performance training activities for the Campaigns and Planning team, to strengthen overall campaign performance management competency.

  • 7+ years of direct, senior-level experience in the use of data and analytics to measure, monitor, report and refine corporate communications outcomes.
  • Experience identifying measurable campaign goals that align with business objectives.
  • Experience utilizing of KPIs, data analytics, tools and technology to measure and optimize Communications outcomes.
  • Experience with corporate communications strategy, tactics, channels.
  • Experience with audience identification and analysis.
  • 5+ years of experience Communications planning.
  • Experience with managing complex, multi-channel communications projects.
  • Experience delivering results against business objectives.
  • Experience leading cross-functional and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with Project Management.
  • Experience with being able to influence stakeholders across complex organizations to drive towards common objectives.
