About the Senior Associate, User Acquisition at Headspace:

At Headspace, the User Acquisition team is responsible for bringing in highly engaged new members to the Headspace experience. They partner closely with the rest of the Marketing team as well as Product, Finance, and Data Science teams to create and iterate on innovative data-driven marketing plans that support the growth of our business. The Sr Associate, User Acquisition is a critical member of the marketing team who will develop and manage channel-level optimization strategies and tactics, manage execution of those campaigns to deliver sustainable growth, and assist with onboarding of new marketing partners and technologies.

A successful candidate must have a passion for our mission, product, and technology, with a strategic mind, and recent experience working on a User Acquisition team, preferably at a mobile-app or subscription based company. They will have had a proven track record of executing performance marketing campaigns. They will bring fresh ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Location: This role is open to remote employees in select US states: California, New York, Florida, Georgia, Texas, Maryland + Washington DC, North Carolina and Washington. 

How your skills and passion will come to life at Headspace:

  • Launch, manage, and optimize mobile user acquisition campaigns across multiple channels, targets and geos
  • Partner with Data Science and Analysts to understand channel and tactic-level efficacy and impact
  • Closely monitor, measure, and report on campaign performance and conduct ad hoc analysis in partnership with Analysts
  • Assist with transformation to automated solutions to improve campaign efficiency
  • Effectively communicate and partner with publishers and agencies to drive improvement in performance on an on-going basis
  • Collaborate with design and copywriters to develop assets that will improve channel efficacy
  • Develop and execute an experimentation roadmap that will feed into on-going optimization loops
  • Collaborate with Director, User Acquisition and rest of marketing team to ensure channel-specific objectives complement the rest of the marketing plan

What you’ve accomplished:

  • 2-4 years of working in direct-to-consumer performance marketing at scale at a mobile-app and/or subscription based company
  • Working knowledge of digital, TV, and/or traditional media channels
  • Knowledge of key marketing platforms for performance media channels
  • Proven experience leveraging data to impact marketing performance and to more efficiently buy better-performing media
  • Track record of driving exceptional campaign results; specifically driving new customer growth
  • Experience managing large media budgets and hitting monthly goals for user acquisition, CAC, retention, and other key performance metrics
  • Deeply analytical and data driven; proficiency with CPA, LTV, A/B testing, promotional strategy, attribution models, and cohort analysis
  • Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written to clearly convey market dynamics, strategies, tactics, rationale and results, to peers, agency and executive stakeholders
  • Enjoy and thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile culture—someone who embraces and leads through change and ambiguity
  • Excellent relationship building skills and knows how to influence working teams and agencies
  • Flexible and versatile in nature, able to overcome challenges while maintaining a positive attitude

We're located in the heart of Santa Monica on Michigan + Cloverfield, just off the 10 freeway. Bergamont train station is right behind our office.
