Overview
The Event Manager is responsible for organizing and managing a wide range of events, including conferences, client social events, and other industry events. Reporting through the marketing team, the candidate will work closely with our senior leadership and sales teams to plan events for the division. The role will require significant coordination depending on the nature of the event.
Job Description

  • Identify client requirements and expectations for each event.
  • Provide management guidance for successful event plan that assists them in achieving stated success criteria for the event.
  • Lead planning, development and vendor negotiation / selection for events.
  • Work with internal teams to provide an end to end event project management service, which includes conceptualizing and activating event plans with adherence to PennyMac brand as well as business and marketing strategies, to ensure a seamless end user experience.
  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders to keep them up to date on event strategy, goals, logistics, and post event activities.
  • Manage details such as venue, catering, entertainment, music, photography, transportation, equipment, invitations, promotional materials, gifting, etc.
  • Work with vendors and stakeholders during the event planning process to ensure everything is in order and being flawlessly executed.
  • Maintain event budgets.
  • Maintain a database of preferred vendors and relationships.
  • Manage all event set-up, tear down and follow-up processes.
  • Work with the Procurement and Contracts team to review and manage contracts in relation to events.
  • Monitor the results of the events and return on investment.
  • Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization's desired culture and values.

Ideal Candidate will have the following:

  • At least 5 years' experience as an event coordinator or manager, mortgage conference experience preferred
  • Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Creative mindset and an obsession for details and flawless execution
  • Outstanding vendor management skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to travel domestically and periodically be at events hosted over a weekend
  • Eager, self-starter who has a strong ability to take lead on a project
  • Driven to meet and exceed goals
  • Calm and flexible approach to handling pressure
  • Collaborative team player
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects at the same time

Education:
Bachelor's Degree
