Head of Growth - Private Search
System1 is looking for a senior brand marketing leader to help us drive awareness, PR and usage of our new private search engine. This role will be instrumental in the development of System1’s consumer-facing privacy message, managing a team of PR and performance marketers, and achieving user acquisition growth goals. The ideal candidate is highly motivated, accustomed to a fast-paced environment, and has a strong understanding of building a digital brand.
This role will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Search and assist in building a strong, goal-oriented agile team.
The Role You Will Have
- Oversee and develop multi-channel brand awareness, user acquisition and retention efforts
- Set and be held accountable for KPIs related to customer acquisition, retention and revenue
- Manage a team of branding, PR, content, and acquisition marketers
- Expand channels through ongoing optimization, and build out new channels to drive future growth, including offline (e.g., podcast, traditional)
- Help drive strategy around attribution, tracking, and landing experiences for all paid marketing
- Work closely with the creative and content marketing teams to shape user journeys from awareness to conversion
- Define customer cohort strategies and develop targeted campaigns for critical audience segments
- Plan, forecast, and measure marketing’s impact on the business
- Foster and support 360- degree marketing strategies and online execution for major brand initiatives
What You Will Bring
- 8+ years in digital marketing space with a proven track record of building and growing a premium online brand
- Experience in branding, public relations, content and acquisition marketing
- Metrics-driven, understanding the relationship between customer acquisition, CPA, and LTV - and the ability to unpack the drivers of each and work cross-functionally to drive value
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate, motivate and lead
- Comfortable managing multiple projects, teams and priorities
- Previous involvement in building teams and digital presences from scratch - experience in an agency, startup or entrepreneurial environment is a plus
