Our email marketing manager has superb strategic and technical ability to architect, build and run complex email campaigns. This role is for a highly strategic email marketing leader who thrives in fast-paced environments and can roll up his/her sleeves to build, deploy, and launch email initiatives quickly while also ensuring quality and complying with brand guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Define and drive preference center, subscriber, and newsletter strategy and manage execution in partnership with demand generation, marketing operations, content marketing, and design teams.
  • Define and drive strategy to increase engagement across all email acquisition efforts including top-of-funnel email nurture campaigns.
  • Own email communication from development through execution including content, relevancy, smart segmentation, and personalization.
  • Plan, develop, and execute on an A/B testing roadmap (layout, format, frequency, copy, etc.) to continuously improve email performance.
  • Manage email data maintenance, briefing, review, code/build, QA, and deployment processes for all pre-sales email/newsletter campaigns.
  • Develop and present weekly, monthly, and ad hoc reporting on email performance.
  • Monitor the marketplace to keep ahead of best practices and put forward perspective on best-in-class email marketing opportunities. 
  • Build deeper insights into segmentation through data analysis and behavioral retargeting while also reporting on email list quality and health.
  • Drive best practices with CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, privacy policy compliance.

Required Knowledge and Skills:

  • 5+ years of direct, hands-on experience developing email strategies, building email nurtures, and executing on campaigns. 
  • Deep experience and understanding of marketing automation platforms, including Hubspot.
  • Ability to synthesize data, make data-driven decisions, and balance quantitative measurement with an intuition-driven bias to action. 
  • Superb written and oral communication skills; excellent presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with a spectrum of both internal team members and external vendors/partners.
  • A relentlessly resourceful nature. When something needs to get done, you always find a way to make it happen. Even when the work is hard, you have the drive to power through it.
