THE ROLE
Golden Hippo is currently looking for a Email Marketing Automation Manager who will be responsible for developing and executing strategies to grow overall revenue & customer lifetime value.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE
- Grow overall revenue & customer lifetime value by optimizing automated post-purchase marketing channels
- Work with copywriters & other stakeholders in planning, executing, and optimizing multiple email autoresponder sequences across several brands
- Efficiently optimize existing drip campaigns and identify untapped opportunities
- Create a more customized customer experience by expanding audience segmentation efforts & leveraging as-of-yet untested email platform capabilities
- Manage integration with Salesforce, performing regular QA and troubleshooting as needed
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize deliverability/inboxing, opens, clicks, and conversion rate
- Continually A/B test both email content and associated sales funnels
- Partner closely with Head of Data Science; Director, Copywriting; and Manager, Email Marketing Operations to conceive, implement, measure, and analyze A/B tests
- Track, analyze, and accurately report on key metrics & test results
- Serve as the subject matter expert on marketing automation best practices
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and onboarding of new marketing platforms as needed
- Other responsibilities as needed
IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE
- Bachelor’s Degree, ideally in marketing or a communications field
- Minimum 3 years experience with direct-to-consumer email marketing
- Basic HTML proficiency (email template design, implementation, and/or modification)
- Hands-on experience with custom data, dynamic content, A/B testing, etc.
- Experience with marketing automation applications (Maropost preferred) and CRMs (Salesforce preferred)
- Excellent written communication skills; copywriting experience preferred
- Experience building automated SMS drip campaigns preferred
- Sales and/or marketing operations experience
- Excellent organizational skills & ability to manage several projects at once
- Speedy implementation and ability to quickly adapt as priorities shift
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and Google Drive (especially Sheets)
- Must be self-motivated and able to independently manage competing priorities
- Must be able to take a problem-solving approach to business challenges
