About the Team
Marketing Operations is dedicated to scaling up Crunchyroll’s domestic and international marketing presence, elevating the creative processes of the marketing teams, and being of service to the broader company to provide timely support and solutions to anyone in need. We are a horizontal support structure, servicing multiple verticals across the company. We embody the collaborative spirit of Crunchyroll and work closely with all of our internal and external teams. We are dedicated to the company values and strive for excellence in everything we do. We are lifelong learners, unafraid to make mistakes, and believe that action is always better than inaction. Our job is never done. As we build infrastructure, establish process, and define workflows, we constantly engage with our business partners, seek feedback, look for the inefficiencies, formulate a plan to take on problems, and implement strategy.
About You:
- Have a deep understanding of marketing content pipelines including static design, video, social media, news, and PR
- Have a passion for film and the entertainment industry. Anime knowledge or fandom is a plus!
- 7-10 years of experience in a video post-production environment, design environment, animation, content operations, and/or marketing operations department
- 5-7 years of experience with localization, versioning, and global distribution
- 5-7 years leading teams in corporate environments
- Proficient in industry terminology and possess an understanding of marketing concepts and brand management
- Possess in-depth knowledge of project management systems, asset management systems, transcoding, QC, delivery systems, Adobe Creative Suite, and Avid
- Proven track record of implementing solutions to streamline operations with quantifiable results
- Are comfortable being a change agent while maintaining a future-focused perspective
- Able to build, define, interpret, and present departmental metrics
- Are flexible and adaptable
- Take a genuine interest in helping others
Pluses
- Experience designing transcoding workflows
- Experience scripting automated workflows
- Experience integrating disparate systems through APIs, webhooks, etc.
- Experience onboarding vendors and users to new technologies
- Experience leading global and decentralized teams
A day in the life of our Director of Marketing Solutions:
- Partner with the head of Marketing Operations to achieve departmental goals and strategic rollout of initiatives
- Partner with our Production Technology and IT teams, developing strategies to increase efficiency in the content pipeline, eliminate difficulties, and elevate the creative process
- Architect solutions to achieve our ambitious goals
- Research & Development - Investigating emerging technologies, partnering with vendors to pilot new products, strategizing rollout plans for integrative solutions
- Asset Management - Ensuring our asset management team has the proper tools and workflows to be successful throughout the content pipeline
- Engagement - meeting with team members across entire marketing department as well as the wider organization to find opportunities to integrate and enterprise solutions
- Own and define the metadata schemas surrounding marketing initiatives across all lines of business
- Be a key advisor on workflows, plans, and toolsets for original marketing initiatives
- Lead a distributed team of asset managers, transcoders, and workflow designers

The Pay Range for this position is listed. Actual pay will vary based on factors including, but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Crunchyroll’s Total Rewards offerings for employees. Other rewards may include performance bonuses, employer matched retirement savings, time-off programs, and progressive health benefits and perks.
