Channel Manager, Email and Social
The Channel Manager, Email and Social will be responsible for managing outbound marketing communications channels including Email and Social. In this role, the person will work with the Corporate Marketing, Marketing Programs, and Product Marketing teams to strategize and formulate a weekly promotion plan taking into account business needs for each Program segment and ongoing Marketing activities. The Marketing Communications Manager will then plan outbound Email and Social communications to maximize overall response rates. This includes segmenting messaging for different audiences based on persona, geography, industry, and technographic information. This individual will also be responsible for running testing to optimize conversion rates and will be measured by the overall production and efficiency of the Email and Social channels.
Responsibilities:
- Develop outbound communication strategy for Email including segmentation plans to optimize response rates
- Manage email database with Marketing Operations focusing on size and quality of the database and audience segmentation
- Work with Corporate Marketing and Programs Teams to develop promotion schedule based on business unit needs and marketing activity calendar
- Work with Product Marketing to develop messaging and copy
- Manage email builds with Marketing Operations and Development
- Design and run testing plan to optimize Email response rates
- Serve as subject matter expert for Email Marketing
- Develop outbound communication strategy for Social to optimize response rates
- Develop Social Media posts and promotions with Creative team
- Manage Social Media accounts, scheduling posts and monitoring responses
- Establish and manage a list of all relevant social sites, groups, and forums
- Establish and execute a methodology to periodically check social sites and media and industry sites for relevant posts, articles, and blogs to comment on, and oversee such commenting
- Establish and execute a methodology to coordinate with Sales to engage prospects via Social channels, including developing targets for KPIs and reporting on performance in reaching those targets
- Assess the number and level of influencers, and develop methodology to expand
Qualifications:
- 4+ years of professional experience planning, building, executing, testing and optimizing email communications
- Experience running social media campaigns for a business or organization
- Understanding of the basic principles of public relations and/or marketing for B2B
- Exceptional creative writing and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Good judgment and discretion when dealing with sensitive topics
- Ability to interact with many people, through multiple interruptions, while staying on task
- Strong computer and technology skills
- Must be competitive and focused on achieving goals
- Must be a team player and collaborate well across departments
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing or a related field
