About the Role

OpenLoop is seeking an experienced and creative Marketing Web Developer to join our team remotely or at our HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for turning our brand vision and testing hypotheses into high-performing web experiences across multiple brands. You will work closely with our design and marketing team, supporting a variety of exciting projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience designing user-friendly, interactive features, coupled with a strong emphasis on optimizing website performance.  

 

What You'll Do

  • Own the development of our website and landing pages, to support marketing goals.
  • Manage 3rd party agencies for additional development support when required.
  • Partner with our web design team to translate brand vision and user experience insights into high-performing code.
  • Work closely with our SEO team to build and maintain world-class technical SEO and site speed standards.
  • Use SEO data (i.e. conversion rate optimization analytics) to quickly deploy experiments to drive higher conversion and expedite our growth.
  • Create HTML for marketing emails within HubSpot.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or related field.
  • 7+ years of web development experience, including 5+ years working with WordPress.
  • Strong technical SEO expertise (site speed, site architecture, structured data).
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and experience with languages such as PHP, Python, or Ruby.
  • Background in high-volume, transactional eCommerce design.
  • Experience partnering with marketing/design teams to develop content and optimize performance.
  • Skilled in troubleshooting bugs and performance issues to ensure site uptime.
  • Familiarity with LLM tools (e.g., Claude) to accelerate development cycles.
  • Understanding of how web development supports marketing strategies and growth initiatives.
  • Strong communicator, able to clearly articulate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working independently in fast-paced, high-growth environments; startup experience preferred.
  • Experience with HubSpot (landing pages, email design) and conversion rate optimization testing preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry marketing strategies strongly preferred.
Remote Salary Range
$110,000$130,000 USD
