The Opportunity

The Marketing Technology & Platform Lead owns the execution, optimization, and ongoing support of the marketing technology ecosystem across DEE and Movement Disorders. This role ensures our platforms, integrations, data flows, and ways of working enable high-quality commercial execution as brand, customer, and business needs evolve.

This is a highly connected, hands-on role. You will translate business needs into practical technology solutions, lead implementation and enhancement efforts, improve how platforms work together, and help teams get meaningful value from the tools they use. You will partner closely with Commercial, IT, data and analytics, vendors, and functional leaders across both indications—bringing clarity to priorities, surfacing risks early, and removing technology barriers to speed and execution.

You will be successful in this role if you bring strong marketing technology and platform experience, paired with the judgment and ownership to turn complex business needs into simple, effective solutions.
Primary Responsibilities

  • Own the marketing technology ecosystem across DEE and Movement Disorder, ensuring platforms are reliable, fit for purpose, well supported, and aligned to evolving brand, customer, and business needs.
  • Lead implementation and integration of marketing technologies from requirements through configuration, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancement, in partnership with IT, Commercial teams, and external partners.
  • Strengthen connectivity and data flow across platforms and systems by identifying integration gaps, dependencies, data-quality issues, and opportunities to improve usability, reliability, and efficiency.
  • Translate business needs into technology priorities by partnering with DEE and Movement Disorder functional leads to define requirements, make tradeoffs, and prioritize investments and enhancements across the portfolio.
  • Create practical standards and ways of working for the marketing technology stack, balancing enterprise consistency, scalability, and speed with the distinct needs of each indication.
  • Drive adoption and effective utilization by ensuring teams have the processes, capabilities, guidance, and support needed to use marketing platforms successfully and consistently.
  • Continuously improve the ecosystem by assessing platform performance, emerging needs, and opportunities to simplify the technology landscape, strengthen capabilities, improve execution speed, and maximize the value of technology investments.

Qualifications and Key Success Factors

  • Experience owning, implementing, optimizing, or supporting marketing technology platforms and integrated ecosystems.
  • Strong ability to translate business and customer needs into clear technology requirements, priorities, and execution plans.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross-functional technology implementations, integrations, testing, deployment, and ongoing enhancements.
  • Strong understanding of data flows, system dependencies, integrations, and the importance of reliable, usable data.
  • Ability to work effectively across Commercial, IT, data/analytics, vendors, and other partners, with the credibility to challenge, influence, and align.
  • A practical, solutions-oriented mindset with a bias toward simplifying complexity, resolving issues quickly, and improving how teams work.
  • Strong ownership and operating discipline, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate risks, and drive work through ambiguity.
  • Clear communication and relationship-building skills, with an ability to meet teams where they are and drive adoption without creating unnecessary process.
  • The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement.  You'll need comfort with screen work, basic hand coordination, and focus.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
