The Team

The marketing team is responsible for driving rapid customer growth through innovative acquisition strategies and 1:1 personalized lifecycle communications across all channels. This team aggressively tracks and helps grow our customer franchise by optimizing customer journeys through tactics derived by analyzing trends in customer shopping behavior, needs, intents, and responses. We collaborate closely with our leaders, cross-functional teams, and merchant partners to achieve ambitious growth targets.

The Role

The Marketing Strategy & Analytics Lead will develop and scale data-driven contact strategies for a variety of personalized programs across channels; optimizing targeting and developing insights to inspire ideas for growth and innovation. You will develop and execute on advanced modeling (AI-ML) roadmap and agile experimentation (test & learn) agenda delivering short and long-term value. You will also design, develop and implement advanced analytics solutions and translate into clear go-to-market actions. This candidate should also have experience working with varied stakeholders across functions and establishing trust-based relationships. You will be supported in your growth and development to take on as much responsibility as you can handle, in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

What You'll Do

  • Support the vision, strategies, and analytics required to ensure our customers are engaged with and delighted by our content and messaging while enabling customer growth through effective application of analytics.

  • Design and build the data foundations needed to drive marketing automation including sourcing and connecting data across systems/partners, building out customer profiles, establishing necessary metadata, and enabling advanced personalization capabilities.

  • Develop experimentation & measurement plans and analyze customer behavior data to inform and continuously optimize acquisition and engagement strategies.

  • Drive improvements to martech including data in/out of systems, and functionality to enable 1:1 personalization and automation across all channels; develop detailed requirements for new functionality.

  • Develop tool-agnostic marketing automation capabilities to deliver real-time consumer journeys including next best action, content selection, and experimentation.

  • Foster a collaborative and data-driven culture within the team and across the organization, promoting a deep understanding of key performance drivers.

What We Look For

  • 5+ years developing data-driven strategies to mobilize the business to achieve goals and outcomes using innovative solutions

  • Experience leading cross-functional initiatives with a high degree of complexity

  • Experience influencing with and without authority

  • Experience in descriptive and predictive analytics including gathering requirements to meet data and technology pre-requisites

  • Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms and techniques, including supervised and unsupervised learning, deep learning, and reinforcement learning.

  • Excellent communicator, both verbal and written, with the ability to set and frame a vision for executive alignment.  Keen ability to distill complex ideas into simpler framework and illustrations.  

  • Proven collaborator, with the ability to accomplish cross-functional goals and help deliver results expected from a high-performing team

  • Strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and the ability to effectively communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders
