  • Standard BioTools is looking for a Marketing Specialist- Tradeshows/Events will be responsible for ensuring the planning, coordination, and execution of tradeshows and conventions as a key marketing channel.  Key focus areas: corporate tradeshows, user groups, seminars, and symposia. This responsibility also includes liaison with speaker programs, and relevant internal organizations such as Marketing, R&D, Clinical R&D, Global Scientific Engagement (GSE), and Sales.

  • Description:

    • Lead the execution and planning of in-person events to include partnering with Digital Marketing, Product Marketing teams, and additional cross functional stakeholders; Works with Product Marketing, Clinical, and R&D teams to identify speaker/presenter, and abstract opportunities
    • Support/manage corporate event strategy and supporting annual calendar; partners with Product Marketing
    • Support the commercial team with planning and execution of regional tabletop events, lunch and learns, and symposiums.
    • Manage pre and post event planning meetings and communications
    • Establish/refine event playbooks and operating mechanisms
    • Manage vendor relationships as required to include logistics and storage
    • Partner with marketing analytics team to identify areas of success and improvement
    • Managing printing and shipment of collateral, giveaways, and booth
    • Manages/co-manages tradeshow budget

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • At 3+ years’ experience in Event Management within the life sciences, healthcare, medical device or diagnostics industries
    • 3+ years experience in marketing with a strong understanding of marketing channels and strategies
    • Vendor management
    • Budget management
    • Working with VP and c-suite stakeholders

    Required Skills:

    • Proven leadership, organizational, and communication skills, both oral and written
    • Ability to manage cross-functional stakeholders to drive a harmonized events program
    • Excellent quantitative skills
    • Excellent time management and project management skills
    • Ability to achieve defined objectives with minimum supervision
    • Valid passport and ability to travel (25% - 50%) as required
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently

    Work Environment:

    This role requires frequent domestic travel to support onsite exhibit operations, and may include some international travel
