Company Description

Our client is a fast moving group of tech entrepreneurs focused on disruption of our current healthcare system into one that helps patients instead of confusing them. Their unique API, web application and JS plugin allows healthcare providers to create a better patient experience that includes prompt digital payments.

They are a quickly growing startup that is data driven and focused on solving major problems with healthcare payments. We need your help if you’re an awesome Marketing and Operations Specialist.

If getting rid of bureaucracy, helping people, and improving the health care system doesn’t sound interesting, stop reading here.

We live and breathe healthcare. Everything we do must change lives for the better. The unfortunate truth is that the health care system is rooted in legacy technologies and practices. But, with great inefficiencies come great opportunities.

It is our duty to improve the system through scalable technologies and exquisite user experiences.

Job Description

This role is twofold in nature and is an incredible opportunity for an entry-level type role. The main responsibilities will be managing our content and social.

In addition, we would like this person to take over some of the administrative tasks around the office. This could be as mundane as helping out posting content once a day, all the way to planning conferences and helping craft the materials. And, of course, you'll get to come along.

We prefer someone who is really smart, believes in themselves and wants more responsibility (and fast). We promise, if you deserve it, we'll give you all the responsibility you can handle.

What will you do?

  • Marketing content and social media - You will be responsible for managing our social media and outbound marketing messaging. It's vital that you have the ability to create great content.

  • Operations administration - You'll work with the COO in helping to get stuff done. It's a startup, so, we couldn't tell you what will come up even if we tried. If you hate ambiguity, this role will suck. If you like learning more things you didn't even know were vital to startup success, it might not suck.

  • Project Management (for the right candidate) - If you're able to crank out the first two, we'll have you manage the organization's projects!

Qualifications

  • Strong written communication skills
  • Journalism major, a plus
  • Entry-level, no formal experience required. Maximum of 2 years experience.
  • Bachelor's of Arts

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
