About the Role

Prophecy’s GTM team is seeking a Marketing SDR to serve as the critical link between our GTM teams. This is a high-impact role where you will manage the full "top of funnel" lifecycle, from inbound lead conversion to strategic outbound prospecting.

As an SDR, you will be responsible for identifying, reaching out to, and qualifying prospective customers. You will manage inbound interest generated by our marketing campaigns while executing multi-touch outbound strategies. Reporting to the VP of Marketing, you will play a key role in converting MQLs into meaningful sales pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inbound Lead Management: Act as the first point of contact for all high value inbound inquiries. Qualify leads through outbound emails, social selling, and discovery calls to determine fit. Pass sales-ready leads to Sales for immediate follow-up.
  • Outbound Prospecting: Conduct multi-channel outreach into target accounts with the goal of booking meetings for the Sales team.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing team to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness. Help shape the messaging for upcoming marketing initiatives based on real-time prospect feedback.
  • Pipeline Coordination: Seamlessly transition qualified opportunities to Sales, providing detailed notes and context to ensure a high win rate.
  • Data Hygiene: Maintain meticulous records in Salesforce to track lead sources, engagement history, and lead disposition.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in a B2B SaaS SDR or BDR role, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
  • Full-Cycle Fluency: Demonstrated ability to manage both inbound leads and outbound "hunting."
  • Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; ability to engage C-level executives in meaningful business & technical conversations.
  • Tech Savvy: Proficiency with Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, and ZoomInfo – as well as AI tools such as Claude.
  • Analytical Mindset: Comfortable using data to track performance and identifying gaps in the sales/marketing handoff process.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent professional experience.

Location: Bay Area, CA or Remote

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
