Role Overview:

We are looking for a highly creative and strategic Marketing Planning Intern to support our marketing team in developing campaign ideas and integrated marketing plans. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are interested in brand strategy, creative marketing, and campaign planning and want hands-on experience working on real consumer and entertainment-driven campaigns. You will work closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to help shape ideas, build presentations, and turn creative concepts into executable plans—while learning how integrated marketing comes together in a fast-paced, real-world environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development of creative marketing plans for individual campaigns, including early-stage concepting, messaging direction, channel ideas, and activation frameworks.
  • Assist in brainstorming culturally relevant, trend-driven campaign ideas informed by audience insights, product positioning, and current market trends.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (creative, social, influencer, production, media) to help translate campaign ideas into clear briefs and presentation materials.
  • Research and track emerging cultural trends, internet moments, content formats, and digital behaviors, and share insights that inspire campaign ideas.
  • Help prepare pitch decks, creative proposals, and strategy documents, ensuring they are well-structured, visually polished, and on-brand.
  • Support post-campaign analysis, helping gather performance insights, summarize learnings, and identify areas for future optimization.
     
Who We Look For
  • Has previous internship experience in Brand marketing and Gaming industry.
  • Strong interest in brand marketing, creative strategy, integrated campaigns, and pop culture.
  • Familiarity with North American marketing channels, especially social media, digital content, influencers, and experiential marketing.
  • Creative mindset with a good eye for visual culture, trends, and platform-native content (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, etc.).
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to help build clear and compelling slides, briefs, and written summaries.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and eager to learn in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
  • Interest in gaming, entertainment, lifestyle, or youth/Gen Z culture is a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in Google Slides/PowerPoint (design skills are a bonus but not required).

Location State(s)

US-California-Irvine Co-working, US-California-Los Angeles

The expected base pay range for this position in the location(s) listed above is $22.33 to $42.70 per hour. Actual pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position will be eligible for 1 hour of paid sick leave for every 30 hours worked and up to 13 paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, full-time interns are also eligible to enroll in the Company-sponsored medical plan.Equal Employment Opportunity at Tencent
