About Us

Sage is on a mission to improve care and quality of life for older adults, starting with those residing in senior living communities. Falls are the leading cause of injury-related death among adults over 65, yet current prevention and emergency response systems are outdated and ineffective. Sage has built a modern approach to detecting when older adults need help and ensuring caregivers can respond quickly and reliably. Our mission is to create products that our partners love—and this role is core to that goal.

We're a small, tight-knit team of ambitious, multi-disciplinary entrepreneurs. As a software-enabled, mission-driven company, we focus relentlessly on the problems that matter most. We work hard and move fast, but we also operate with a marathon mindset: building something meaningful requires pace, intention, and care. The journey matters as much as the outcome.

About This Role

The Head of Marketing Operations will build the operational backbone that powers Sage’s marketing and creative programs. You’ll design the systems, workflows, and reporting infrastructure that help our team move faster, operate more effectively, and stay tightly aligned to results. This role blends marketing operations, creative workflow management, and campaign enablement—and is perfect for someone who thrives on creating clarity out of complexity.

You’ll work closely with Growth & Lifecycle, RevOps, and Creative to ensure every campaign, automation, and workflow is consistent, measurable, and scalable. This is a hands-on role with high visibility and impact, ideal for someone who enjoys both architecting process and rolling up their sleeves to execute.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage end-to-end marketing and creative operations workflows
  • Own campaign processes, data hygiene, naming conventions, tagging, and source tracking
  • Manage day-to-day execution in HubSpot, including segmentation, workflow automation, and lifecycle management
  • Partner with Growth, Creative, and RevOps to operationalize campaigns, improve funnel visibility, and strengthen reporting
  • Continuously streamline and document marketing processes to support scalability and cross-team alignment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5–7 years of experience in marketing operations or creative operations within a high-growth B2B SaaS company
  • Strong HubSpot fluency across workflows, segmentation, lifecycle, and QA
  • Demonstrated experience building scalable marketing systems and processes from scratch
  • Strong program management and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented mindset with a track record of improving operational efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience partnering closely with RevOps and Sales on funnel metrics and attribution
  • Background managing creative workflows, asset pipelines, and review cycles
  • Familiarity with AI-driven campaign triggers (e.g., Gong + HubSpot)
  • Ability to design dashboards and reporting frameworks that inform decision making
  • Experience in a mission-driven or healthcare-oriented environment

Benefits and Pay

Our headquarters are located in New York City's Union Square, and we value cross-team collaboration and in-person connection. We encourage participation from all team members—great ideas can come from anywhere. While we take our mission seriously, we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We host offsites, outings, and team meals to stay connected as people. We offer office lunch, a fully stocked snack bar, and an in-office culture with up to two remote days per week.

We provide competitive base compensation along with stock options. The expected annual salary range for this role is $190,000-$215,000 USD, depending on experience and interview performance. We also offer fully paid health and dental coverage, plus vision insurance, premium primary and urgent care memberships, online health providers, unlimited PTO (“take what you need”), seven paid holidays, and a company-wide winter break.

EEO Statement

Sage is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion. We prohibit discrimination and harassment based on race, color, sex, religion, sexual orientation, national origin, disability, genetic information, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic under federal, state, or local laws.

This policy applies to all employment practices, including hiring, promotion, termination, compensation, benefits, training, and apprenticeships. Sage bases hiring decisions solely on qualifications, merit, and business needs.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
