People Inc. is seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Marketing Operations guru to support Marketing team campaigns and initiatives for the PEOPLE App, one of the company’s flagship mobile experiences. Reporting to the Head of Acquisition, this role  is responsible for keeping projects and workflows organized and moving efficiently. 

Through cross-functional coordination, you’ll manage day-to-day tasks across marketers, designers, and various team leads ensuring all stakeholders have the clarity and support they need to execute high quality campaigns on time and at scale. Your role is hands-on and essential to keeping the marketing engine running smoothly and delivering measurable impact. 

This highly collaborative, execution-focused role is ideal for someone with 3–5 years of experience who loves to  build out marketing processes and gets excited to see campaigns go-to-market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Act as the project manager for all marketing launches, partnerships and events working with the Head of Acquisition on timelines, dependencies, and lead cross-functional coordination to keep campaigns on track.

  • Oversee project management tools, marketing calendars and timelines.

  • Partner with Marketing, CRM, Editorial, Programming, Social and Sales to plan out marketing initiatives.

  • Track milestones and ensure deliverables hit deadlines across campaigns & launches.

  • Coordinate briefs, drive project  kick off meetings and conduct post-mortems to keep teams  aligned.

  • Create structure and reporting around campaign progress, deliverables and dependencies.

  • Support communications and coordination across internal teams and external vendors.

In-office Expectations: This position is hybrid in-office, with the ability to work remotely for up to 2 days per week.

40% - Campaign & Launch Project Management: 

Own end-to-end project management for marketing launches, partnerships, and events; Build and manage timelines, dependencies, and cross-functional workstreams; Ensure all deliverables are completed on time and at quality standards; Identify and resolve risks or bottlenecks proactively

25% - Cross-Functional Coordination & Communication: 

Partner with Marketing, CRM, Editorial, Programming, Social, and Sales to align priorities; Lead kickoffs, status updates, and post-mortems; Manage stakeholder expectations across a distributed organization; Serve as the connective tissue ensuring clarity up, down, and across teams

20% - Workflow & Process Optimization: 

Oversee and improve project management tools (Airtable, Jira, calendars); Introduce and document new processes to improve efficiency; Create standardized briefs and workflows to streamline execution; Identify opportunities to reduce friction and improve campaign velocity

15% - Reporting, Tracking & Operational Visibility: 

Track campaign milestones and progress against timelines; Create reporting structures around deliverables and dependencies; Maintain marketing calendars and documentation; Support post-launch recaps and operational analysis

The Role’s Minimum Qualifications and Job Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent education and experience.

Experience:

  • 3–5 years of experience in operations within digital marketing, apps, media or subscription marketing organizations

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and workstreams simultaneously.

  • A clear, confident communicator — you're great at keeping things on track and making sure the right people deliver the right things, on time

  • Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders including design, editorial, social and marketing leads; comfortable managing timelines and expectations up, down, and sideways in a cross-functional, distributed org

  • Comfortable building new processes and introducing workflow improvements.

  • Familiarity with app KPIs (e.g., DAU, retention, push performance) or experience supporting app-related marketing efforts

  • Bonus: Love of PEOPLE, pop-culture aficionado, socially native, and  experience working in media 


Specific Knowledge, Skills, Certifications and Abilities:

  • Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., Airtable, Jira)

  • Comfortable building out systems and improving workflows

Pay Range

Salary: New York: $80,000.00 - $95,000.00

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to work location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of People Inc's total compensation package for employees.
