Marketing Operations Manager

Role Description:

As Marketing Operations Manager, you play a critical role in bridging the gap between strategy and execution, ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of marketing programs. This role supports cross-channel marketing functions, maintains data integrity, and collaborates with teams to enhance the operational infrastructure that drives business growth. The ideal candidate is highly analytical, process-oriented, and excels at working across multiple teams to achieve shared objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • System Management: Manage and optimize MagicSchool’s marketing automation platform (e.g. Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Marketo) and ensure seamless integrations with other Go-to-Market systems.

  • Campaign Execution:

    • Oversee the technical implementation and quality assurance (QA) of marketing campaigns, including email programs, landing pages, lead flows, and overall campaign tracking for reporting.

    • Support event operations for webinars and conferences, including pre- and post- event lead management and follow-up.

  • Process Improvement: Develop and refine workflows, processes, and automation to support marketing campaigns and lifecycle programs through enablement and documentation.

  • Data Management: Be a champion of compliance and database hygiene, ensuring our programs reach the right people at the right time and we have a healthy database to effectively scale.

  • Reporting and analysis: Build reports or dashboards, and provide insights to inform campaign performance and decision-making.

  • Collaboration: Partner with the Go-To-Market teams (Marketing, Sales, Customer Success) to ensure alignment on goals, data, and reporting needs.

  • Tech Stack Innovation: Identify gaps in the marketing tech stack and recommend tools to enhance team capabilities and scalability.

Qualifications/Competencies/Skills:

  • Builder Expertise: Deep understanding of marketing technology and data flows with experience designing workflows and automations from scratch.

  • Analytical mindset: Ability to derive actionable insights from complex datasets and

  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Project Management: Skilled at managing multiple tasks and deadlines with precision.

Experience:

  • 3-5 years of experience in marketing operations preferably in a B2B SaaS Startup or EdTech environment, with a proven track record of managing marketing systems and taking ownership of building scalable systems to achieve business goals.

  • Proficiency in marketing automation platforms (e.g. Marketing Cloud Account Engagement, Marketo, HubSpot) and Salesforce including basic HTML or CSS skills.

  • Knowledge of data privacy regulations (e.g. CCPA, GDPR) and experience with ensuring the marketing database is compliant with data privacy laws.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in reporting tools (e.g. Looker, Tableau). Familiarity with SQL or other database query languages is a plus.

  • Bonus:

    • Experience with Product Led Motions and a PLG tech stack (e.g. Pendo, Amplitude, Clay)

    • Account-Based Marketing

    • Leverage and champion AI adoption and change management across teams.
