Headway’s mission is a big one – to build a new mental health care system everyone can access. We’ve built technology that helps people find great therapists with the first software-enabled national network of providers accepting insurance.

1 in 4 people in the US have a treatable mental health condition, but the majority of providers don’t accept insurance, making therapy too expensive for most people. Headway is building a new mental healthcare system that everyone can access by making it easy for therapists to accept insurance and scale their practice.

Headway was founded in 2019. Since then, we’ve grown into a diverse, national network of over 45,000 mental healthcare providers across all 50 states who run their practice on our software and have served over 1 million patients. We’re a Series D company with over $325m in funding from a16z (Andreessen Horowitz), Accel, GV (formerly Google Ventures), Spark Capital, Thrive Capital, Forerunner Ventures and Health Care Service Corporation.

We want your time here to be the most meaningful experience of your career. Join us, and help change mental healthcare for the better.

As Headway’s Marketing Operations Lead (Platform Operations), you’ll play an integral role in owning and evolving Headway’s provider marketing operations & tech stack. You’ll be responsible for owning and optimizing high quality marketing processes that help us acquire and convert tens of thousands of therapists as we build a new mental healthcare system.

You will:

  • MarTech Integration & Data Flow: Own, manage, optimize marketing tech stack integrations, enabling clean handoff of data across platforms (Marketo, Salesforce, Zoom, LeanData, Chilipiper, Outreach, Zerobounce, Unbounce, Tray.ai, Zapier, etc)
  • Lead Management & Funnel Optimization: Partner with RevOps to streamline and optimize end-to-end lead flow processes
  • Lead Scoring: Build, implement, and refine lead scoring models to improve qualification accuracy
  • Lifecycle & Conversion Optimization: Manage lifecycle stages and drive improvements in funnel conversion and pipeline efficiency
  • Data Enrichment & Hygiene: Maintain a high-quality database through enrichment tools (Clay), hygiene practices, and regular audits

You’d be a great fit if:

  • You have 3-5+ years of Marketing Operations experience, managing user journeys, data pipelines, and tech stack optimizations
  • You have a deep understanding of marketing automation tools (Marketo) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
  • You have familiarity with tools like LeanData, Chilipiper, Clay, and Outreach
  • You are detail-oriented and enjoy managing complex end-to-end processes, and enjoy building operationally efficient processes from scratch
  • You are extremely comfortable with a broad marketing tech stack
  • You thrive in the unknown, and seek out opportunities to dive into unfamiliar challenges, roll up your sleeves, learn new skills, and drive towards solutions
  • You like to dig into data for storytelling, justifying investment and prioritization of initiatives
  • You are motivated by the opportunity to make an impact on one of our generation’s defining problems, accessible mental healthcare
  • Bonus points if:
    • You have experience in high growth technology environments with a large amount of autonomy, ideally building 0-1
    • Hands on experience with LeanData, Outreach, Chilipiper
    • You are Marketo Certified

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
