Seremoni is looking for a highly detail-oriented and operationally-minded Marketing Operations Coordinator to join our growing team in El Segundo, CA. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in complexity and can take big ideas and translate them into precise, executable plans across timelines, teams, and physical product movement.

At Seremoni, marketing doesn’t live in a vacuum. Our work is deeply tied to real-world logistics like fish coming out of the water, moving through our supply chain, and ultimately landing on menus, shelves, and in the hands of chefs, consumers, and influencers. This role is critical in ensuring our marketing efforts are tightly aligned with what’s actually happening on the ground.

You’ll get real experience supporting a fast-growing innovative seafood company working directly with chefs, retailers, influencers, partners, across the country operating at the intersection of food and technology.

What you get to do:

You’ll be the connective tissue between marketing, sales, and operations, owning the details that make everything run smoothly.

Responsibilities may include:

  • Own and maintain the marketing calendar, ensuring all campaigns align with real-time inventory, fish inbounds, and operational constraints.

  • Build and manage detailed workback plans that account for shifting timelines tied to sourcing, production, and delivery.

  • Track fish inbounds, availability, and timing, and translate that into clear direction for marketing initiatives, campaigns, and launches.

  • Partner closely with Ops to understand what’s coming, when it’s landing, and what’s possible, adjusting marketing plans accordingly.

  • Coordinate campaign timelines, creative assets, and deliverables across teams using project management tools.

  • Manage run-of-show (ROS) documents, pack lists, and logistics trackers for marketing activations, gifting, and events.

  • Act as a liaison between marketing and operations to ensure product, packaging, and delivery logistics are dialed for campaigns, activations, influencer gifting, and chef events.

  • Act as a liaison between marketing and sales to ensure sales materials, collateral, and physical assets are accurate, on-brand, and delivered on time.

  • Stay deep in the details while also looking ahead, flagging risks and solving for gaps before they become problems.

  • Help streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency across the marketing team.

What you will need:

  • 1-2 years experience in marketing operations, project management, or a similar role

  • Extreme attention to detail - you don’t miss things, and you actually enjoy complexity

  • Ability to manage multiple moving timelines and adapt quickly as inputs change

  • Familiarity with CRM systems, marketing automation, and project management software

  • Strong communication, project management, data analysis, and organizational skills

  • A positive attitude and desire to be a crucial part of a team

  • Access to a car for occasional local errands

  • Ability to work from the El Segundo office

Bonus if you have experience with:

  • Working with perishable goods, supply chain, or inventory-based businesses

  • Event coordination, hospitality, or on-the-ground activations

  • Social media or content production

  • Merchandise, gifting, or product sourcing

  • Food, restaurant, seafood, or CPG brands

  • Comfortable handling fish (from time to time)

  • Startup environments where things move fast and change often

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
