Job Description

The Marketing Manager oversees the planning and execution of the marketing strategy at a single Eataly location including: public relations (PR), events, education, social media and graphics.  Reports directly to the Director of Store Operations and reports functionally to the Director of Marketing, PR and Communication.  Manages the in-store Marketing team.

  • Partners with senior leadership in the store to build and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy and budget designed to drive awareness, traffic and sales
  • Collaborates with the corporate marketing team to understand and define national marketing programs and develop related local marketing activities
  • Manages the Marketing team: hires, assigns, schedules, trains, motivates, submits payroll and evaluates
  • Collaborates interdepartmentally to plan and execute in-store, public and private events
  • Manages relationships with celebrity chefs, business partners, producers, local organizations, public entities
  • Protects Eataly’s brand and ensures marketing activities and promotions are properly communicated both internally and externally through graphics and PR content
  • Analyzes performance and reports progress to senior leadership on a weekly basis
  • Performs other duties as required or assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, with prior managerial experience
  • Experience in the food and beverage industry, ideally in Italian cuisine
  • Knowledge of Italian cuisine and culture
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent problem-solving and business management skills
  • Knowledge of and contacts in the food industry  
  • Fluency in Italian language highly preferred

Job Requirements

  • Availability to work onsite with a flexible schedule often including evenings, weekends and holidays
