The Opportunity

Team Liquid is hiring a Marketing Manager to plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across our competitive games and brand partnerships.

In this role, you will own campaigns from initial idea and brief through production, launch, and post-campaign review. You will work closely with Sales & Partnerships, Creative, Production, and other teams to turn campaign goals and partner commitments into clear plans, keep projects moving, and ensure the final work reflects the Team Liquid brand.

This is a hands-on role that blends marketing, creative thinking, and project management. You will help connect the teams bringing opportunities in with the teams bringing the work to life, while keeping stakeholders aligned, deliverables on track, and campaigns focused on our fans and partners.

Location: Los Angeles, CA. Candidates must be available to work onsite at our office at least three days per week.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Campaign Management

    • Own marketing campaigns end-to-end, from concept and brief through production, launch, and post-campaign review.

    • Build project plans with clear timelines, deliverables, owners, and approval steps.

    • Manage multiple campaigns and priorities while anticipating risks and resolving issues early.

    • Manage campaign budgets and coordinate agency, freelance, and production support as needed.

  • Creative Planning

    • Develop campaign concepts rooted in audience insights, Team Liquid’s brand, and campaign goals.

    • Write clear creative briefs that define the audience, message, deliverables, and measures of success.

    • Lead ideation for partner campaigns and translate marketing objectives into clear requests for creative and production teams.

    • Guide ideas through production while keeping the brief, partner objectives, and Team Liquid brand aligned.

  • Cross-Functional & Partner Collaboration

    • Work closely with Sales & Partnerships, Creative, Production, and other teams to align on campaign goals, requirements, and deliverables.

    • Translate partner commitments and objectives into campaign plans and ensure deliverables are tracked and reported.

    • Keep stakeholders aligned on timelines, priorities, approvals, and campaign progress.

    • Ensure campaigns align with brand, partner, publisher, and market requirements.

  • Fan & Partner Engagement

    • Build campaigns around the moments that matter to Team Liquid fans and partners.

    • Develop creative approaches based on each partner’s goals rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.

    • Apply audience and fan insights to strengthen campaign ideas and execution.

  • Data & Performance

    • Define success metrics based on campaign, brand, and partner goals.

    • Track campaign performance and audience response and recommend adjustments to improve results.

    • Lead post-campaign reviews and apply learnings to future campaigns.

  • Ways of Working

    • Identify opportunities to improve campaign planning, workflows, and cross-functional collaboration.

    • Use AI and emerging tools where practical to support campaign planning, management, and reporting.

    • Stay current on trends shaping marketing, gaming, and esports.

What You'll Need:

  • 3+ years of experience in marketing, campaign management, project management, content production, creative operations, or a related field.

  • Experience managing marketing campaigns or creative projects from initial concept and briefing through execution and completion.

  • Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple campaigns, timelines, and priorities.

  • Experience creating creative briefs, project plans, timelines, and deliverables for creative or production teams.

  • Experience working cross-functionally with teams such as creative, production, social, content, talent, partnerships, or communications.

  • Strong understanding of marketing fundamentals, including audiences, brand positioning, campaign strategy, content development, channel planning, and performance measurement.

  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Media, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant professional experience may be considered.

You’ll Earn Bonus Points If You Have:

  • Experience in gaming, esports, sports, entertainment, digital media, or an agency environment.

  • Understanding of gaming and esports audiences and culture.

  • Experience working on brand partnerships or sponsored campaigns.

  • Experience with tools such as ClickUp, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable project management, creative, reporting, or productivity platforms.

Salary Range (U.S.-based role):
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $75,000 – $80,000 + bonus opportunities.

Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, education, internal equity, and geographic location, where applicable and permitted by law.

Benefits & Other Compensation:
This position is eligible for company-provided benefits, which may include health insurance, paid time off, paid holidays, and retirement-related benefits, subject to plan terms and eligibility requirements.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
