About the Role
We’re looking for a Marketing Manager, Public Sector to help expand Moodle’s impact across government, nonprofit, NGO, and other mission-driven organizations, with a strong emphasis on the U.S. federal government.
This role is ideal for a marketer who understands how public institutions procure technology and who can translate complex compliance, security, and accessibility needs into clear, compelling stories. You’ll shape campaigns that highlight Moodle’s value as a secure, scalable, and compliant learning platform—and help ensure government agencies and public organizations can deliver learning that changes lives.

- Position Moodle as a trusted LMS for government training, civic education, and public outreach.
- Map key personas, including training managers, contracting officers, and IT decision-makers across federal, state, and local government.
- Align messaging with U.S. government priorities: accessibility, open-source adoption, data sovereignty, and FedRAMP alignment.
- Lead demand generation campaigns tailored to public sector procurement cycles.
- Align marketing activities with fiscal year deadlines and RFP timelines (e.g., federal Q4 budget season).
- Partner with the Performance Marketing team to reach agency-specific audiences through account-based strategies.
- Build evergreen messaging to support long government sales cycles.
- Track trends in government tech stacks—particularly open-source, cloud, and workforce development initiatives.
- Work with product, legal, and hosting teams to ensure all messaging aligns with compliance standards (FedRAMP, Section 508, data localization).
- Support proposal and RFP responses with targeted, audience-appropriate marketing materials.
- Measure and optimize success across key metrics.
- Refine campaigns based on regulatory, funding, or policy shifts that influence public sector priorities.
