Job Description

This is an exciting time to join Visa's North America Marketing Services team. We are transforming how we partner with our clients through a proactive, results‑driven approach. We focus on deepening relationships, leveraging Visa insights, platforms, and sponsorship assets to create competitive advantages. 

The Marketing Manager reports to the Marketing Director who leads the Client Marketing Strategy. The Manager is responsible for consultative discovery to uncover product and payment marketing opportunities in the Fintech segment, developing holistic marketing plans to meet client goals, and leading end‑to‑end implementation and delivery of integrated campaigns, experiential events, and sponsorship programs. The role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product, Visa Consulting & Analytics, Research, Marketing, Legal, and agency partners to drive business outcomes for Visa and our clients.  This position is based in San Francisco.

  • Client Advisory & Strategy: Lead consultative engagements to identify client marketing needs, translate insights into integrated strategies spanning lifecycle engagements (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty), social/digital, and sponsorship activation. 
  • Experiential & Sponsorship Leadership: Plan and execute experiential events and manage sponsorship programs end‑to‑end (assets, activation, measurement). 
  • Integrated Campaign Execution: Oversee multichannel campaigns (paid social, search, email, direct mail, web) across digital, experiential, and sponsorship channels, ensure creative development and legal review are on track. 
  • Cross‑Functional Delivery: Work across Visa teams and agency partners to scope requirements, build project plans, manage day‑to‑day priorities, and deliver high‑quality programs with limited supervisory support. 
  • Data‑Driven Insights: Apply Visa data and industry research to capture best practices and customer insights, present recommendations and performance readouts to clients and senior stakeholders. 
  • Program & Budget Management: Own timelines, budgets/finance processes, vendor/agency management, program tracking, and results management for multiple concurrent initiatives. 
  • Support Fintech Marketing Services Senior Managers across all scoped projects.  

This is a hybrid position located in San Francisco, CA. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your hiring manager.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • You have experience in marketing in the financial services, tech, fintech, or payments sector, working in a fast-moving environment
  • You have experience managing sponsorship programs, including activation and ROI measurement
  • You have experience planning and executing experiential events
  • You have prior experience in designing and executing multichannel marketing campaigns (e.g., paid social, search engine marketing, email, direct mail, etc.) across the marketing lifecycle (acquisition, usage, retention, loyalty)
  • You must be able to thrive in a fast-moving, highly matrixed environment.
  • You are results-oriented, flexible, with a positive attitude. Additionally, you have a strong track record in working collaboratively and independently with internal team members and external clients.
  • You have strong executive presence and comfort leading discussions with clients
  • You have strong analytical skills and feel comfortable translating data into marketing strategy
  • You have strong written and in-person communication skills
  • You have strong project management skills
  • You are detail oriented and extremely organized
  • You have experience with global sponsorship properties
  • You are a team player with experience coordinating cross functional, end-to-end projects that included a high level of detail and ability to ensure project deadlines and budgets are met
  • You are self-motivated and proactive in asking questions / proposing solutions
  • You have extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Power Point and Word
  • You are willing to travel

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for this position is 134,600.00 to 215,300.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
