About the Role

We are seeking a paid marketing expert who can shape and manage inbound marketing programs, ensuring seamless cross-functional collaboration and alignment with organizational goals. This role will center on scaling and optimizing inbound marketing efforts, with an emphasis on leveraging expertise in SEM to make an immediate impact on key company objectives.

Our Performance Marketing team is focused on driving growth and delivering ROI by using data-driven strategies to engage and attract more users across various marketing platforms. 


About the Job 

  • The ideal candidate will lead the strategy for inbound marketing to support broader initiatives across Instacart, and assure cross-departmental collaboration between Marketing, DS, Product, Legal, Operations, and Analytics.
  • Manage SEM campaigns and understand daily performance while providing deep insights to key stakeholders, and work with Retailer Marketing teams to develop solutions to Retailer escalations
  • Shape processes to precisely setup and scale complex campaigns on Google/Microsoft Ads from the ground up
  • Provide & act on data-driven recommendations to scale SEM efficiently while sharing out wins & opportunities to Marketing & Senior leadership
  • Create & manage project timelines with the internal stakeholders and agency partners across marketing teams for evergreen or new product marketing launches
  • Analyze, design, and run experiments/incrementality tests on an ongoing basis
  • Understand and implement Google conversion tracking and internal attribution tracking

About You

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5+ years growing Paid Search campaigns for e-commerce/acquisition, in-house or agency required
  • This position demands outstanding communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas with precision and coherence in all engagements, both internal and external.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to independently manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Proven ability to effectively establish and manage timelines and drive cross-functional initiatives from strategy to execution
  • Expert in scaling Paid Search campaigns while maximizing internal KPIs, ie profit, ROI
  • Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills, expert in Excel
  • Thorough understanding of acquisition marketing and latest Paid Search trends, including automated bidding
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the on-demand economy
  • Knowledge of SQL for pulling marketing data & creating ad hoc dashboards/reports
