Jobscan’s platform benefits job seekers, employers, universities, and communities. We're a fast-growing remote startup. We are completely customer-funded without VC investments, profitable, and growing exponentially. Without investor pressure, we can be even more customer-focused. You get the stability you need while being a part of an accelerating startup.

Your Impact

As a Senior Growth Marketing Manager you will play a critical role in driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through both growth marketing initiatives and marketing channel optimization. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, deep performance marketing expertise, and a strategic approach to positioning, messaging, and lifecycle marketing.

You will be responsible for developing and executing marketing automation, A/B testing, and performance-driven strategies to optimize conversion funnels while also leading product marketing efforts.

What You Bring

A growth-driven mindset – You have a deep understanding of performance marketing, customer acquisition, and retention strategies, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making.

Hands-on experience with marketing automation – You know how to leverage tools like HubSpot to optimize email/lifecycle marketing, trial conversion, onboarding, and customer reactivation.

An experimentation-first approach – You love running A/B tests to refine conversion rates, reduce churn, and improve product engagement, always iterating for better results.

A knack for storytelling and positioning – You can craft compelling product messaging that resonates with different customer segments and drive successful go-to-market launches.

A strategic campaign mindset – You have experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns, from Black Friday promos to webinars, and keeping execution on track with Asana.

A collaborative, results-driven attitude – You thrive in cross-functional teams, working closely with Product, Sales, and Customer Success to drive alignment and growth.

A passion for fast-growing SaaS companies – You enjoy the challenge of scaling a business, testing new ideas, and continuously optimizing marketing performance.

The Challenges

We’re a fully bootstrapped small company that is growing very quickly. There will be growing pains. It can be a bit chaotic at times with competing priorities and that backlog just keeps expanding, but it’s an evolving company culture and you can help shape it. Until then, you have to be very comfortable with lack of structure, understand that you won’t have time to do everything, and know how to prioritize tasks on your own. Don’t be surprised if priorities change often.

The Team

The Senior Growth Marketing Manager will join an innovative and motivated marketing team who share a passion for helping jobseekers. You'll be supported by and report to your manager, Angela Heald (Head of Marketing) and have the opportunity to work cross-functionally with other teams like Product and Engineering.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
