Start with content. Drive user growth. Become a future marketing leader.

At Think Academy, we're looking for creative, ambitious, and entrepreneurial early-career talent to help build a 0-to-1 Xiaohongshu user acquisition model in the U.S. market.

You'll start by creating engaging content and understanding Chinese-speaking families in the U.S. As you grow, you'll take on broader responsibilities in paid marketing, user acquisition, and growth strategy, with opportunities to eventually lead marketing projects or teams.

This isn't just about creating content. It's about turning content into real business growth.

What You’ll Do

  • Create engaging Xiaohongshu content, from topic selection and copywriting to visual production and publishing.
  • Understand U.S. Chinese-speaking parents, identify their needs, and explore what drives content engagement.
  • Track content performance and continuously test new creative ideas.
Stage 2 — Drive User Acquisition & Growth
  • Develop content-driven acquisition strategies across Xiaohongshu and other digital channels.
  • Gain hands-on experience in paid advertising, lead generation, and conversion optimization.
  • Analyze the content → inquiry → lead → enrollment funnel to improve acquisition efficiency.
Stage 3 — Grow into Marketing Leadership
  • Own marketing channels and growth initiatives, from strategy to execution.
  • Build scalable user acquisition strategies for the U.S. market.
  • Earn opportunities to lead marketing projects or teams based on performance.

What We Are Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree or above; recent graduates are welcome.
  • Strong Mandarin communication and content writing skills; able to communicate in English.
  • Familiarity with Xiaohongshu, its content trends, and platform culture.
  • Creative, user-oriented, and interested in social media and digital marketing.
  • Strong ownership: Proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable for results.
  • Data-driven mindset: Willing to experiment, analyze performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Passion for education, technology, and international business growth.

Nice to Have

  • Experience in Xiaohongshu operations, content creation, or paid advertising.
  • Experience in education, EdTech, or user acquisition.
  • Familiarity with AI tools for content creation and marketing.

Compensation & Benefits Structure:

  • Competitive Package: $80,000–$100,000 in Year 1.
  • Accelerated Growth: 20%+ annual compensation growth opportunities in Years 2–3, based on performance.
  • Visa Sponsorship: Available for eligible candidates.
  • Relocation Support: Relocation allowance available.
  • Clear Career Path: From content marketing to user acquisition and future marketing leadership.
  • Real Ownership & Mentorship: Work on a 0-to-1 U.S. growth initiative, with hands-on mentorship and opportunities to lead meaningful projects.

We don't expect you to be a marketing expert on day one. We want someone who's curious about users, creative with content, and driven to turn ideas into results.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
