Our growing network of 2,000+ clinicians has delivered over 7 million teletherapy sessions to K-12 students. Presence is backed by Spectrum Equity, TPG’s Rise Fund and Bain Capital Double Impact.

We are a remote-first, distributed workforce of 200+ corporate employees, headquartered in New York. We place a high value on schedule coordination and cross-functional communication to stay connected with each other when working in different places. Leadership roles at Presence require travel to create opportunities to engage in-person with our school partners, our clinicians, and each other.

About the role:

We’re looking for a Marketing Director to join our team. Reporting to the VP of Marketing and working closely with Creative, Product Marketing, and Revenue, you’ll play a key role in supporting our mission to deliver teletherapy solutions for children with diverse needs. This role is perfect for someone who can manage a team of channel experts, partner cross-functionally, and still roll up their sleeves to ensure strong execution and measurable impact, and offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in campaign strategy - all while contributing to a mission-driven organization that helps children with special needs.

What will you do at Presence:

  • Support the development of annual marketing strategy and planning process: identify growth opportunities, build strategic campaign plans, and oversee execution across channels (paid and owned).
  • Drive campaign planning, timelines, and cross-functional coordination across Marketing, Revenue, and Product.
  • Guide customer segmentation and targeting strategies to improve engagement, measurement, and growth of core customer segments.
  • Own reporting and measurement across pipeline, conversion, and revenue impact, with clear visibility for Marketing and Revenue leadership.
  • Use dashboards and performance insights to continuously optimize campaigns and channel performance.
  • Remain hands-on with platforms and reporting to ensure fast, high-quality execution and accountability.
  • Manage external vendors and media partners to deliver brand and performance marketing goals.
  • Lead, develop, and manage a team of marketing professionals, setting clear priorities, coaching for growth, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • This person will travel approximately 20% of the time.

What we are looking for:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B marketing, with a strong focus on revenue or growth marketing.
  • Proven experience leading multi-channel teams and managing external agencies.
  • Deep experience with lifecycle marketing, segmentation, and campaign orchestration.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills tied to pipeline and revenue outcomes.
  • Hands-on experience with HubSpot or similar marketing automation, Salesforce, WordPress or similar CMP, Looker and Google Analytics.

What will help you succeed here:

  • You actively listen and respond with empathy, fostering respectful and productive collaboration.
  • You maintain a strong service mindset, consistently meeting the needs of internal and external stakeholders while building trust and credibility.
  • You seek creative, effective solutions and persist beyond the first answer to find what truly works.
  • You make thoughtful, informed decisions that align with company goals, and you're not afraid to ask questions to gain clarity.
  • You deliver high-quality work on time, and you proactively seek support or guidance when challenges arise.

What are some of the benefits we offer:

  • Comprehensive Medical Coverage includes Dental and Vision
  • Flexible PTO
  • 11 Company Paid Holidays
  • Benefits Package: including 401K savings plan and access to an Employee Assistance Program.
  • $500 home office stipend
  • Paid Life insurance, AD&D., and disability benefits
  • Paid parental and caregiving leave
  • Eligibility to apply for a Professional Development Scholarship.
  • Inclusive Culture: We are intentional about creating a culture that is fun and inclusive.

This role is also eligible to participate in Presence’s equity plan subject to the terms of the applicable plans and policies.

An employee’s starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and market conditions.

The employee’s starting salary for this position will be $140,000-155,000.

Where is this position located?

  • Presence is headquartered in New York City with our clients located throughout the U.S.
  • We support remote work from other locations in the U.S.
  • This position reports to the VP of Marketing.
  • All employees commit to be available on-camera for our Core Working Hours noon-5 pm EST M-F.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
