About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Marketing Director, Demand Generation to fuel our next wave of growth. In this role, you’ll be the architect of our demand generation strategy, owning budget and revenue. You’ll also be working hands on with the team writing copy, analyzing data and iterating with AI, and auditing lead follow up. The right fit is comfortable with both ABM fundamentals and high volume performance marketing.

We’re looking for a "thinker-doer" who loves both the strategic element of marketing and is energized by building. We keep meetings minimal and focus on shipping great work, fast. We experiment, build, obsess over the data, and incorporate AI in everything that we do. We’re looking for someone who likes to work that way too.

Sound like you?   Please enter the integrated campaign you’re most proud of in the “Comments” section. What were you looking to achieve, how did you achieve it, and what were the results?

What You'll Do

  • Build and lead our demand generation programs, including SEM, email, webinars, events, paid social, and more.
  • Build and lead our new ABM program, working closely with sales with targeted messaging and tactics.
  • Create a targeted micro event strategy for key accounts.
  • Own demand generation analytics from MQL to revenue.
  • Build and own “activation” campaigns to drive revenue from new customers.
  • Generate vertical specific partnerships and co-marketing opportunities.
  • Partner and coordinate with our sales team on running integrated plays.
  • Be available for 10% travel.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • 10+ years of demand generation marketing experience with a preference for start ups or high growth companies.
  • Experience with key metrics such as CAC, LTV, payback periods and what levers drive these.
  • Experience with account based marketing fundamentals.
  • Experience with high volume performance marketing tactics.
  • Proven ability to work independently and be comfortable “creating the path” rather than walking it.
  • Recent, hands-on experience, (within the last 3 years) executing campaigns within marketing automation and ad platforms.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly and concisely within the immediate team, as well as cross-functionally with different departments, and executive levels.
  • Fantastic organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency and accountability.
  • Bonus points if you have experience in the healthcare industry and related marketing strategies.
    • Note:  If you are selected to participate in our interview process, one of the rounds will include a hypothetical campaign scenario. You will be provided with some information, and asked to prepare / discuss your strategy with the hiring manager.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
